Poor fit and finish

Great looking piece of heavy iron. Just what you want in any tool. Unfortunately, as I’ve now read in many other reviews, it lacks in quality.

Great fry cutter.

Makes quick work of a tough job. The longer handle gives great leverage for cutting bigger potatoes to fries. Highly recommended!

Excellent French fry maker.

Well built, easy to use and does an awesome job. Highly recommend this product.

Suction cup feet went to my what not collecting. Bolted it to cutting board. Lots of play in slicing arm, slows you down. You probably could shim it with spacers. Cutting frames cut well, I soak tatters to firm them. I’m happy with what I got for the money.

Works as advertised, I am very impressed! It is heavy duty for sure. I have made french fris, wedges, and even sliced an apple. This thing is a beast.

Love it, but.....

I would have given this 5 stars, because it works great. The only reason I gave it 4 is because we are using it with the suction cups, and when putting them on, there was so much extra metal on one of the legs that we couldn't put the nut on the bolt. I spent a half an hour with a grinding tool removing enough metal to secure the nut. It really is heavy duty, blades are sharp and sturdy. It makes quick work of making french fries.

Decent quality. The blades are considerably thicker than original blades. I’m concerned the force required to push product through is going to result in “fries” breaking off before full stroke of push mechanism. I’m restoring a vintage model and I guess I’ll find out when I get it done.

Does not fit on your model (Cat # 685)

Ordered this part as a replacement cutter for your model # 685 shown in attached pictures. Looking at your photos on line it looked like the 3 holes to attach the cutter to the unit were the same but when it arrived only 2 of the three holes lined up. The third hole was like 1/16 of an inch off. I called customer service and was told there were no replacement cutters available for my old unit. The frames on my old model cutters were plastic and have all broken. I was able to order replacements a few years ago but they have now broken also. Without the replacement blade frames, my unit is now worthless.

I love it cuts fries so easly

The tollerances were cut a bit tight and had to redrill the mounting holes for it to fit properly. Cuts great. Cleans easily

Potato Cutter

Overall, the product is built well, sturdy, and fairly easy to use. The cutters and pushers are easy to remove. The plate that holds the vegetables has to be positioned just right, or it can be slightly problematic until it is placed correctly. The end product of fries are a hit with the kids and rest of family. I expect this cutter/slicers to last for years! Thanks for another great LEM product!
