It makes ice, enough for one 8-ounce glass at a time. Crushes ice great but will not keep it cold. You need to remove it right away and place it in the freezer, and even then, it will stick together and you will need to use somethingsharp to b4eak it up..

We love that it makes ice quickly and the ice shaver is perfect for snow cones in the summer. I recommend it . Only downside is it is very big .

I LOVE This Bad Boy
I purchased this a year ago after having a Total Right Hip Replacement Arthroplasty. I had to use a Ice Therapy Machine on My Hip tho Help Keep the Swelling Down. I DO NOT have an Ice Make in my Refrigerator nor Do Have Room in the That Freezer to keep enough ice cube trays. So, after Spending Approximately $90.00 a week on 10lb Bags of Ice, every other day, from the Local Mobile Ice Hut I decided to look in to Purchasing an Ice Makers. During My Search I Found this Bod Boy!! 44-lbs of Ice w/ 2lbs every 8 minutes, I Decided this Ice Machine More than accommodated my needs and When I calculated how much I was spending on bags of Ice I decided this was Great Value and Would Pay for itself in the matter of a Few months. I used this Ice Making Machine in conjunction with the Ice Therapy Machine for 9 consecutive months as I was in Home Physical Therapy All 9 months due to complications from the Hip Replacement Surgery. At the end of that 9 months The Ice Maker was Still Used on a Regular Basis For Ice For Drinks, etc.

Bought this Igloo ice maker because my LG fridge built-in ice maker is temperamental and also because of the shaved ice feature. This bad boy cranks out 44 lbs of ice in 24 hours and can also be hard piped to a water supply line.
