I love my timer that was easy to program.

Very easy it install

I now have three of these timers, one for an indoor circuit and two for outdoor lighting circuits. The indoor one is set with clock time to turn on in the morning and astronomical time to turn on in the evening, and clock time to turn off morning and night. Both outside circuits are set to astronomical time to turn on in the evening and off in the morning. That’s makes them all much more reliable than light sensors, which would react to cloudy or stormy weather. They all work perfectly.

works great very easy to program. If you’re unable to Program it you could call the customer service number and they answer within two minutes. I would highly recommend this product

The timer takes care of turning the lights on and off based on the satellite so it provides worry free security year round

Terrible

Bought 3 of them today, terrible experience. This is way to complicated to use as far as instructions. Has a battery to run the clock and time, who want to replace a battery and is a CR2 to boot which are expensive. I returned two of them and threw the other one away as wasn’t comfortable returning something I had installed. DO NOT BUY

Programming the time events is difficult. This model uses latitude and longitude but the instructions do not note that the latitude must be set as four digits and uses a minus sign to denote west.

Works very well and easy to install if there is enough room in your box.

I was able to research this product and others on the Home Depot website. Then, when I installed it the video on the HD webpage also showed me how to program it - much easier than the written that came with the device. The product works great. Now I’m considering another purchase of the same for the other outside lighting at my home.

Great timer with astronomic settings - set it once and forget it.

This Intermatic timer is great. No more re-adjustments of on/off times due to the onset of summer or winter. It knows where you are (longitude/latitude) and calculates dawn and dusk to turn on the light. Its compatible with all types of lighting - LED, CFL, or just plain old tungsten. Relatively easy to program if you just use the auto dawn/dusk. Also very easy to install since its exactly like replacing a regular switch. Just a hot, neutral, and ground wire and its ready to operate after installing the battery into the battery tray.

Installation was easy and the timer works as good or better than my previous timer purchased from a competitor. However, the plastic housing for the battery drawer is designed in such a way that it's difficult to open and close. Notice in the photo the battery drawer sits very tight on the left edge against the housing. I see it as a single point of failure when it's time to change the battery. This particular feature has a lot of room for improvement.

Easy to install in our older home with the 2 pole wiring. However, weeks later I still cannot get the programming correct. Screen to dark, instruction print too small, and doesn’t explain some of the settings.

Sophisticated but not hard to program. Automatically adjusts for dusk to dawn lighting throughout the year including daylight savings time switches. Installs easily - no negative wire.

Pretty neat timer allowed me to put in the latitude and longitude for my address and that allowed me to always set the ON time of my porch lights to the sunset hour. I actually put in an offset of 25 minutes so it will always come on a bit early. Instead of OFF at sunrise, I set my lights to go OFF at 11:45pm. It's a bit difficult to setup but it has a lot of ability if you give it a try.

Doesnt leave you in the dark.

The switch works great, but a little pricy. It comes on every evening at sundown. I programmed the timer to go off at midnight. The big feature is as the days get longer or shorter with the seasons, the timer automatically adjusts for the time of the year. Pretty slick.i

I purchased this timer switch three days ago to turn on the outside lights at dusk and turn them off at dawn. It worked very well for two nights and now does not work. There is a battery backup in the switch but it did not work to store the program data. Now it needs to be reprogrammed again. This switch is a big disappointment. It is definitely not worth the money to purchase it. I would not recommend this product.

Easy installation and set up

Does not work. Light switches on and then immediately off. Pulled them and will replace with non-Intermatic product.
