Red Can Better
This can, the red one, seemed to work better than the black. It helped to reduce the cold coming onto the covered porch.
Foam crack sealer
Got this gap sealer for a spot I found in the basement around an old coal door used back in the 30's. Probably where I was getting a mouse in every now and then. Not any more!
Great Stuff Insulating foam sealant
Earlier this year, this Great Stuff was very helpful when I needed to repair a leak caused by a broken window molding. By applying this Great Stuff, I was able to plug the leak and have had no problems since. Great Stuff expands rapidly after application and stops leaks.

Great Stuff closed off gaps and kept the bats away.
I used this product on the unfinished ceiling of a 19th C "carriage house" that is now used as a carport. I filled in every single little gap between the rafters and plywood roof sheathing that was created when the plywood was placed over the old skip jack. (Bats had been hanging out in these gaps and pooping on my vehicles.) It took several cans, but Great Stuff solved my bat problem! Wear old clothes and be prepared to get a bit messy. (Now, I think I'll create a bat house elsewhere so they stay around, because they do eat mosquitoes, which is good.)
