Although it is plastic, it seems sufficiently strong. Pricey. Of course, plastic will never corrode. Very good color and finish match to the water control handle and escutcheon which are metal. The installation was straightforward because I replaced a similar diverter tub spout made by Delta. Simply screw on. The included robust brass adaptor was not necessary in my case, since our plumbing already had one fitted for the old diverter. It would have been essential for a new install or replacement of another style diverter spout.

As many people have said, this is plastic, although it does look pretty nice and matches well with the rest of the set. In general I look the look of the set, but it does show water spots really quickly.

Do not overtighten! It will ruin the water diverter. No directions concerning this.

My old delta tub spout had a broken diverter pull. It would not full switch to shower. Delta is supposed to cover this under warranty but even after I gave them a description and a picture, they got back to me over a week later seeming confused and asking if I could send a pic. I already had, but gave up on trying to deal with the warranty people. I just bought this and fixed it myself. Wish Delta had been more helpful but in the end, got my tub fixed.

The spout to fill up the tub sprays in multiple directions sideways.

Had a Delta Lahara shower head, water handle and tub spout I stalled by a plumber. The tub spout sprays multiple directions instead of straight down. There are no instructions to adjust the aerator.
