I would not recommend. I'm writing this review in the midst of cleaning up shower glass from my bathroom. One of the shower doors spontaneously shattered in the middle of the night. We renovated our guest bathroom and installed the KOHLER “Levity 56-60 in. W x 62 in. H Semi-Frameless Sliding Tub Door”. On the evening of 10/17/24 we heard a loud crash. The bathroom was covered in shattered glass, glass that was still popping all over the place and continuing to shatter when I looked in the tub. I was shocked and in complete disbelief to see that the glass door had shattered without any apparent impact and but thankful no one was in the bathroom or using the shower. Reporting this incident.
One sliding door collapsed Sat.morning
I never recommend this. Eight months ago, I renovated our bathroom and installed a KOHLER bathtub (Underscore 60 in. x 32 in. Soaking Bathtub) along with the “Levity 56-60 in. W x 62 in. H Semi-Frameless Sliding Tub Door” in the new bathroom. On the morning of July 27, 2024, a loud crash, like someone dropping a 5-6 gallon bucket of beans, “Chaaaaa” , startled us. My husband alerted me that there were glass particles scattered all over the bathroom floor. When I rushed in, the bathroom looked like a battlefield. I was shocked to see that the glass door had shattered without any apparent impact. Thankfully, no one was in the bathroom, especially not in the bathtub, at that moment.I will definitely report this incident to KOHLER and Home Depot and ask for post treatment.
Pretty nice door
First off, you have to follow the instructions exactly. The glass doors are nice. My only gripe is the large handle on the inside glass. It protrudes into the tub space. I might see if there are options to make it different.
Installation Difficulty
There is a faulty part that attaches at the bottom of the 2 doors holding the doors in place and spaced properly. Impossible to attach as directed and screw it down to attach to tub. Pops out when turning the screw. Part is very flimsy plastic and breaks easily. Poor design.
I rate the Kohler Levity Shower Door a 5 of 5. It's beautiful and was fairly easy to install. I contacted customer service with a few technical questions and actually spoke with a human right off the bat. The only downside was delivery. FedEx shipped the door to my local Home Depot. It took four orders to get one that wasn't damaged in shipping. I highly recommend this Kohler door for ease of install and overall quality and appearance.
Elegant and practical shower door
We love this shower door. It is very attractive and works well too. The horizontal bar on each door gives us extra room to hang towels. We redid the bathroom and this Kohler shower door is beautiful, elegant and functional.
High quality, easy installation
I did a lot of research before choosing this door. I installed it easily by myself as could any competent DIYer. The instructions were detailed and the hardware and parts were blister-packed in order of installation. The look as installed is clean and modern. The only negative I have is the interior towel bar which just begs someone to grab hold of it. Kohler should really just supply two knobs for the interior door. Other than that, I'm really glad I chose this Kohler shower door.
looks great, but function leaves a lot to be desired
This shower door looks great in these pictures and thats why I got it. But dont get this unless you want to have water getting everywhere or add fixes that will make this look much worse. I got the tub version and the doors are not low enough to block out all of the water even when you set the doors at the lowest level. I still have a lot of water splashing iht kf the tub and needed to buy a seal to prevent some of the splashing, which makes everything look worse. The bar that the doors sit on to slide is also very very low. Im 5’9” and I occasionally hit the bar when entering my tub, so if youre over 5’10” get another door. Heck, just get another door. Kohler needs to go back to the drawing board with this one
Looks great
The door looks great in my new bathroom. The doors slide smoothly and I have no leaks (I've noticed others complain about it...but no problem here). I had it professionally installed. During installation my contractor discovered that two pieces that were supposed to have notches in them didn't. I called Kohler right away, was able to talk to an agent without any wait time and she ordered the part and had it sent to me. Only took a few days. I was impressed how quickly they took care of the problem. Mistakes happen, how a company responds says a lot.
Very Satisfied With These Shower Doors
Beautiful addition to bathroom....functions perfectly.....no leaks and if wipe with towel after use, dries perfectly clear in minutes. Installation was easy, following the directions...glass doors not too heavy for one person to handle if installing alone. Hardest part was carefully drilling holes into existing ceramic tile...must be patient using correct drill bits, cooling with water. Good value compared to higher cost of doors from other companies and the finished appearance and function may even be better. Door arrived promptly, packaged securely, was undamaged with all parts present and neatly ordered for assembly.
Fabulous - love it
I bought this some time ago and finally installed it about two weeks ago. I am a decent DYI'er and it did take me most of a day to install but it was not difficult and I really took my time. Nothing damaged all parts were there. I followed the directions carefully. I have a "chop saw" and used it to cut the metal to length and I could short the lengths and then trim more as needed, worked great. I would suggest it would be more difficult trying to cut with a hack saw. I caulked everywhere and no water exits the shower area via the door. It runs smooth and feels solid. It looks great and we are very happy.

This door shattered or should i say exploded one of the first times it was used apparently for no reason at all just exploded ALL over the floor and shower area. My husband had more than 15 cuts across his arms and legs. I would not recommend it and am so disappointed in the quality and will never buy another Kohler product as a result of this terrible experience. We had bought two of these doors for our bathrooms and are now paying to have new doors put in from a different place as we have no interest in getting a new one from this company and having any chance of this happening again. I could not even imagine this happening when one of my children were in the shower. We have removed the doors that did not shatter and are using shower curtains while we wait for the new doors as we think its too big a risk to even use them one more time. I would warn others against purchasing this door that literally exploded for no reason leaving glass all over and several cuts on my husband.

I just finished the install. Took me a few hours over two days - I did not rush things as this was my first shower door install. I was looking for a semi-frameless door I could install myself. Function over aesthetics, but the aesthetics were still important.
Warning - design flaw please ready before you buy
This product has a major design flaw and it will lead to water damage. Center bar is holding the glass door that is simply too wide and it’s leading to problems. I am attaching few pictures so you will have a better idea.

Me: Experienced do-it-yourselfer, bathroom remodel, bought tub door unit in silver frame with handle (not towel bar) for a 58" wide opening with 7' floor to ceiling height. Successful install, successful use.

I ordered three of these doors (two in the taller shower size). There was shipping damage (finish was rubbed) on both of the shower size doors. This damage was caused by shipping the doors laying flat instead of upright as the arrows on the packaging indicates is necessary. The damage caused delays while re-ordering and I had to re-order one of the doors twice. Kohler was able to ship replacement parts with proper finish for some of the trim pieces, but in the end due to time pressures on my project, I just installed the doors with some finish damage. Home Depot needs to manage their shipper (who I came to understand is ESTES) much better.Finish issues aside, I like the doors and they operate just fine so far. I did install knob pulls (bought elsewhere) on the inside door to increase available room inside the shower/tub and also did install a "PVC seal and wipe" (CR Laurence part number P14WS) at the door edges against the wall to close the gap. Kohler really should have included this part in the box.

Don't buy this product. Worst piece of junk that I've ever had the misfortune of installing in my entire life. You would figure that for $500+, you would get some sort of quality or even semi-quality product. Not so with this door. Like the song, it "shakes, rattles, and rolls" every time you slide it open or close. The door rollers are of cheap, poorly designed plastic parts. Not stainless roller bearings like other doors. The threshold is of such thin aluminum that it bends in and out an inch or more when you slide the doors. I guess the manufacturer expects that the silicone caulk will hold it in place. HELLO KOHLER, "SILICONE CAULK IS FOR WATERPROOFING, NOT FOR GLUING YOUR CHEAP THRESHOLD TO THE TUB!" Also, best news, if you loose your footing in the shower, don't grab on to the door towel bar for support. The whole assembly will probably collapse atop of you.

I will give this product a 4 star rating based on the quality of the product. But, this is a little more complicated install than the more common shower door. Also, why can they not make a shower door that can be installed without drilling into the tile. The one place that this shower door fails is that the design is such that the vertical sides do not support the overhead rail which support . They use a 2" square plate on each end to mount the overhead rail. I used the foam core wonder board material on the walls and tiled the shower area. I may be over cautious but I hope this holds the door supports. I saw that Home Depot carries a Delta door that supports the overhead rail with the vertical sides but has those vinyl strips to block the water from which will only discolor in time and thus a poor design. Also Leary in that it was made only for Home Depot as versus a product sold by all stores. One last item in that Home Depot does not have a display for shower doors so if you do not catch certain items on the website and thus do not like the door, you have to go through the process of taking it back.

For a shower door it's rather nice. No complaints for the effectiveness and looks of the finished installed product. Of course the over-the-log-haul will tell the story, but it seems to be ready for it. I far and away prefer the much larger door rail wheels over the tiny ones you see on other designs. The door operates very smoothly and it appears less likely to derail with this design once it is properly installed versus those with tiny hidden wheels.
