Doesn't last more than 2-3 years

I really want to like this company and its products, but I can't afford to replace these every 2-3 years. I had the same issue as others are reporting. I've had mine for almost 3 years and it's suddenly having all sorts of electrical problems. They recommended having it serviced by a third party. I recommend finding a company that will produce devices that will last, even if it's worth shelling out a little more at time of purchase.

Disappointed with short working life

I loved my air purifier until it unexpectedly stopped working overnight. It was purchased in Sept. 2020 so has lasted for nearly 3 years. After reading product reviews from so many people who experienced the same issue after 2 - 3 years of operation guess I need to add that I've had the same experience. It seems like the product was designed with a 2 year shelf life. It's very disappointing. I was considering purchasing another Levoit product but now think I'll try another company.

Product died after less than a year

Product died after less than a year. Nice while it lasted but it's too expensive to replace knowing it will fail again.

Flawed unit

Same issues as described by many - unit just quit after 2.5 years. Panel does not respond. Contacted customer service but they could not offer a fix except unplug and try again. Ultimately they offered a $30 credit for another unit…but that doesn’t even cover the cost of the spare filters that are now useless. Clearly this unit has significant design / manufacturing quality flaws and the company should be offering more to users that have this issue. With a unit with such a systemic issue it brings into question even trying another unit from this company

Works well but only for a short time

Purchased 2 units in late 2020. Both failed in same way, just AFTER the warranty expired. The light would flicker but pushing buttons did nothing. A problem with the electronics, I believe. I contacted support but they would not fix due to expiration of warranty. They are within their rights of course, however, as consumers, we should exercise our right to buy products not designed to fail a month after the warranty expires. I will say they worked well for the first 2 years...then, as Levoit support recommends...into the landfill!

Max of 2 yrs... not isolated issue

Same issue as many have listed here. Dead after the 2 years warranty. Red power on but does not start. Tried all the proposed fixes and nothing worked. I bought the unit based on Levoit reputation as one of the best in the game. Very disappointed.

Did a good job until it stopped working

It was a great purifier until it stopped working about 2 years in. Otherwise, it's fairly cheap, quiet, and did a good job as a purifier. Just wish it lasted longer.

DON't BUY. never last long

just like everyone else. the LV-PUR 131 stopped working after 2 years. The electrical panel is malfunction.

Disappointing Lifecycle

My family purchased this Levoit HEPA Air Purifier in September of 2020 and have had it for just over two years. The display completely stopped functioning (display LEDs barely visible and flicker) a few months ago. We loved the unit while it was functioning but spending as much money as we did on a purifier that didn't last two years is not acceptable. I would not recommend buying this product unless Levoit fixes the panel failure issue, which seems to be a very common occurrence.

Disappointing Product & Customer Service

I purchased this product in late 2020, which was not cheap at all, but worked generally fine. However, as soon as I replaced the filter, the machine simply stopped working. This was extremely disappointing as it was expensive and is wasteful for an entire machine to just stop working with scheduled maintenance. Luckily, Levoit sent a replacement machine, saying it was an issue with the manufacturing (obviously). Then, of course, most recently when I went to replace the filter, the machine refused to turn back on. When I contacted customer service, all they could offer me was a $48 credit towards a new machine. Why would I want to rebuy a machine that is cleary very faulty? And how is that the best you can do? Now, almost $200 later + money wasted on new filters, all I have is an expensive door stop from a company I thought was reliable.

Just stopped working

When it worked it was great but one day I turned it off to change the filter and gives me a pawer indicator supposedly its because its under powered and to replace the power cable. Problem is the power cable is hard wired and cant be removed. and I just spent a bunch on filters for no reason. Need to find a replacement as may daughter has asthma.

Stop working

Bought it in April of 2020. Now it shows the power light on but when I push any of the buttons it will not respond. Very disappointed as this was not cheap and it to just stop working. Not happy.
