Not the best quality

Masterbuilt is not good quality. These just don't seem to last if you take them outdoors. Perhaps if you use them for home cooking it's ok. I first bought another portable grill that they no longer sale here but you can still find it on amazon. The regulator stoped working in a few months and I'm not having issues with this one. Maybe I'll just stick to charcoal next time

Great For Grilling BUT It Is Terrible As A Smoker

I purchased this item to use as a temporary fix so that I could still grill and smoke while my patio was being poured. This item works great as a grill but as a smoker it leaves much to be desired. It will not hold a steady temperature as it fluctuates 10 to 15 degrees constantly. The temp gage it came with reads 80 degrees low from the actual temperature. And finally there is one heck of a hot spot next to the fire box. If you want to use this as a grill I recommend it. At the higher temps it works great. But as a smoker I would not recommend it. I'll be so glad when my 1050 arrives.

It’s OK but a pain to get the coals lit & keeping them lit.

Compact and versatile.

What an amazing Grill. I was able to finally use this on my camping trip and it didn't let me down. This unit worked as it was supposed to and didn't let me down. I went a step further and painted it to my liking.

On a fishing trip a guy was using this grill to cook shore lunches. He would collapse it down and secure it to the top of a cooler on a small boat. Worked great and easy to setup and take down.

I like Masterbuilt products. They are the best. I would recommend all of there products .

poor quality

I used the grill MB20040722 3 times and now the fan is allready broken, without the fan thr grill is useless

2nd unit I buy 1st was great, built very poor

This is the second unit that I bought from you. Both were portable grills their first one. I bought it as a gift. This one I bought for myself. The first one works fine and works well and it was assembled properly. The Assembly of this unit is very poor quality. The lid does not match up with the base. I cannot close it properly and I cannot lock it at all.

Poor Quality

Quality is extremely poor. Upon delivery the hinges were broken clean off, rendering it unusable. Home Depot support credited $50 and I purchased the hinges online and replaced. Assembled and then seasoned the grill with no troubles. Purchased some meat and went to cook for the first time. Fan worked all of 10 minutes and then stopped dead. Ruined my meat, as the grill doesn't function with no fan. Bought a new grill and have spent more time fixing it than enjoying it.

Good grill, Bad Electronics

I really loved this little grill, but after a short life, the fan stopped working.

Impressive battery life …… but just like all the Masterbuilt products the fan crap, and lasted only 2 cooks. Pretty sad when the batteries last longer than fan. Masterbuilt slogan should be “always have a plan B”

There's no question that charcoal grilling beats gas grilling, but I've never quite gotten the hang of managing the temperature in a charcoal grill. We already owned a Masterbuilt Gravity Series 800 to remedy that problem, but we really wanted something we could take with us for our trips to the North Carolina shore. Along came Masterbuilt once again, this time with their Portable Charcoal Grill/Smoker. While it doesn't have the precise control of its bigger sibling, it doesn't take long to get used to the temperature controller and I quickly figured out where to set it for slow (225F-ish) cooking. The ability to run the fan off battery power adds huge flexibility, and we couldn't be happier with the results of grilling on this little powerhouse.

We had one of the portable grills for years and loved multiple camping trips with dinner cooked over the grill. We gave it to my daughter as her kids got older and started camping and we miss it

I received this portable grill for Christmas and it has not disappointed! I cooked a tri tip along with some chicken breasts on it so far and it’s provided amazing results. Can’t wait to cook some more in it while camping.
