[Rewarded Review] Nice exhaust fan with 2 lights, but recommend pro installation

This is a great looking bathroom exhaust fan with 2 different lights along with the exhaust fan. The main light is fairly bright and the night light is a nice addition. The exhaust fan is DC, so takes a about 5 seconds to come on after you hit the switch. The fan has 3 speed settings, we chose the the fastest to start with. That's the good part.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet and pleasant

I like this fan and how quiet it runs. The light is soft and pleasant. One of the features I truly enjoy is that it isn't loud when I get up early to get dressed while hubby is sleeping. Thebone we had previoisly was super noisy like somerhing was rolling around inside. Set up and installation was decent. You will need a second person to help you hold above the head while installing.

[Rewarded Review] Clean looking exhaust fan

I'm doing a bathroom remodel and my wife wants a new exhaust fan. We went with this one. It's a very clean modern looking fan which is what my wife really liked about it. It has a lot of features. 3 adjustable airflow levels to suit different bathroom sizes: 50-80-100 CFM. You can choose the color temperature in 3 options and has a 2 color night light. My old fan only had one wire ran for the fan but this one has a light also so I had an electrician run a second wire for the light fixture. However we both didn't realize initially that it also has a night light feature that my wife now wants to use as well. So, now I have to wait until my electrician can make it out to the house to run a third wire. This fan is really meant for new construction so everything can be set up from the beginning and you can properly use all the features it has. Otherwise you may run into the same issues we did. The instructions the fan has are for new construction. If not careful you may end using the dimensions in the instruction manual and will cut the opening a little to large and you'll have a gap on a side. I cut a 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 opening and it worked out great. So far we are happy with it.

[Rewarded Review] Upgrade your bathrooom

Nothing bad to say about this fan, it's a great upgrade to the basic vent fan that we all have. The options on this are plentiful - you get three different cfm settings based on the size of the room. You also get three different light color settings as well. And lastly, you get two different night light settings. The night light is my favorite feature, no longer do we need to blind ourselves in the middle of the night, just leave the night light on for those overnight bathroom trips, you can see easily. We like to use the highest fan setting to move the air, but also for a bit more noise (even though it's pretty quiet) to cover up any "bathroom noises". All in all this is a great modern upgrade

[Rewarded Review] Great update to an old bathroom light

I decided to remodel my 1953 bathroom and realized that this would be a great addition to the bathroom light. This exhaust fan/light/night light has all your needs in one package. The main light is bright enough to see every corner, yet pleasant to the eyes. The night light is bright enough to see where you are stepping and prevent tripping over an object. The fan is strong and yet quiet enough that it does not bother the ears. I would recommend this product to anyone remodeling their bathroom.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet fan, bright light, well labeled connections

This bathroom light/fan combination is being used to replace a fan/heat lamp combination that is somewhere in the range of 40-55 years old. The fan unboxes in several pieces: the fan with its housing and wiring, the light, wood screws and brackets for mounting. After unboxing and prepping myself for my first bathroom fan install, I discovered my old fan had 12-3 romex running from the fan to the switch.

[Rewarded Review] Easy install and Easy to change Light colors

Highly recommend this fan for any bathroom! My bathroom was very dim and the fan spot was the only place for a light, which also provides light into the shower. If you have 3 light switches, then you could keep the night light, fan, and main light all separate. I like how easy it is to switch the night light from white to blue(switching the light on/off quickly will change the color back and forth). I also like how easy it is to change the main light color temperature between cool, warm, and mixed. Installation of the fan was very quick and simple. The only "heads-up" is that you will need to buy a separate box for your wire connections. There is not enough space in the fan box to also hold more than 1-2 wire nuts. The fan speed selector is manual and must be done while installing the fan.

[Rewarded Review] Bright and large light/exhaust fan combination

We installed this light/exhaust fan unit in our master bathroom because it was too large for our guest bathroom and laundry room. Be aware of the clearance requirements if you are considering purchasing this fan. We also had to purchase a part to convert the 4" exhaust to attach to the 3" opening on the ducts. We did not connect the nightlight feature because we didn't like the color. Once connected, the fan is quiet but does take a about 15 seconds before it turns on. The 2-color light option is easy to select but we have noticed that it will change colors if someone turns the light switch off and back on quickly. Easy remedied by repeating that action to return it to the desired color selection. The light is very bright in our mid-sized bathroom and would probably be better in a large bathroom. We do not have a dimmer switch in the bathroom but are now considering installing one specifically for this light. I would like this light better if it had replaceable bulbs so that I could install the color and brightness that I prefer.

[Rewarded Review] Great exhaust fan light combo unit!!

This review is for the Akicon DC Bathroom Exhaust Fan Light, 50-80-100 CFM, 15-Watt Dimmable 3CCT LED Light with 2-Color Night Light, Square, Black. This bathroom exhaust fan is a great compact unit! It features three speeds on the fan (selectable by a switch within the unit), three color temperatures of light with variable brightness and two colors of nightlight (white and a deep blue), they are all separately powered. Would highly recommend their switch (Akicon AK-SW-FLDN) which can control the light, nightlight and fan independently. The unit is very easy to wire up, each item has its own line and neutral and they are labeled. It comes with a bracket on one side to span the ceiling joists and enough screws to secure around the unit. The fan is plenty powerful, moving a lot of air on the 100 setting while being very quiet, hardly noticeable, and I tested mine before the drywall was installed around it. I did mention it was quite, correct? It comes with the 2-5/8” x 5” oval exhaust with damper built in but also an adapter to 4” round vent as well. The nightlight and main light can operate at the same time and complement each other or individually. Overall this is a great fan/light unit and I am pleased with its easy install and features included with it. I would recommend this product!

[Rewarded Review] Huge disappointment

We ordered this Bathroom Fan Light fixture to replace our current twenty-four year old fixture that needed to be updated. Unfortunately, nowhere in the product description did it say this product was for new construction only. However, when we opened the box, removed all the parts and the instructions, the instructions only described installing this fixture in new construction and attaching it onto the framing. This product requires a 10.5” square opening/ductwork is not adaptable to our current 9.5” opening/ductwork.

[Rewarded Review] Powerful and easy to install

At least as easy as it could be. Old houses make nothing easy and removing the old exhaust fan proved to be the hardest part. Once that was done, installing this product was no issue whatsoever. I didn't even have to consult the instructions until the end. This fan is light weight, comes with a mounting bar and exchanging this with the old one was a simple matter of just disconnecting the old one, reconnecting the wires to this one, securing it in place and attaching the lighted face cover. That's it! In my installation, the bathroom has no window and so the old fan was wired to a single switch to allow the fan and light to be operated from the single switch. I chose to install this the same way. Without a window, I like having the fan always come on. In addition to its ease of installation, the fan has 3 fan speed settings which are controlled by a switch in the main housing under the face light. the first setting, 50 cfm is very quiet. The second, 80 cfm is much louder. I have not tried the 100 cfm setting. The 80 cfm setting is more than sufficient for my little bathroom and I may back it down to 50. Having the three speed options makes this fan appropriate for bathrooms of all sizes. The light is LED, so no more having to change those old very difficult to find specialty fluorescent bulbs which I am really grateful for. It is very bright and has three different color temperatures to choose from. Oddly, this is where I had to look at the instructions but still couldn't find what I was looking for. For this fan, the way you select the color temperature is by flipping the control switch on and off, then on again, which was a little weird, imho. Once you have the color you want, you just leave it on for 7 seconds and it will remember it the next time you turn on the light. This information wasn't in the manual, but I did find it printed on the box. Also note that the light is dimmable, though I do not have a dimmer switch and has a night light, which I chose not to connect, because I would have had to rewire the switch and just didn't find that necessary. Overall, I really like this, it looks much better than the old one I replaced, is quite a bit brighter and is fairly quiet at the lowest fan setting.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet, but install can be tricky

The look of this fan is very nice. Installation was difficult. The wiring is not standard wiring due to the additional light, which means I will need to purchase a new switch in order to utilize both lights. Unfortunately, the switch is sold separately. Also, attaching the light to the fan in the ceiling was difficult due to how strong the clips are, I bent the clips in. Which made it easier however now it doesn’t sit flush. Overall great product, fan is extremely quiet, just need to make a few minor adjustments on my end however, these are my issue not the product. An included wall switch assembly would be nice in order to utilize all features immediately.

[Rewarded Review] Selectable speed exhaust fan

I selected this bathroom exhaust fan for 3 reasons. 1st was it had selectable fan sleeps 2nd was it looked modern and sleek 3rd was I could use the night light function on this fan instead of having a separate light on. You will need 14/4 wire and a switch for each function. So if you don’t already have that many conductors at the switch you will need to pull new wiring. The wiring and the fan switch were $150.00 available at store. Installation will be simple if you already have wiring in place at ceiling location and light switch location this is DIY friendly. If these conditions aren’t present, this is best left to a professional.

[Rewarded Review] LED is the way

Going from a basic halogen light to led was something else. Installing this was simple once i got the old system removed. I like the fact that the led has 3 types and removing the led panels is just a simple clip. The exhaust fan has three speed settings depending on the amount of moisture you build up in your bathroom. At the moment the fan sound pretty quiet even at the highest setting.

[Rewarded Review] The DC motor is very quiet!

I used this to replace an existing bathroom fan. The wiring was already there and luckily the opening was smaller than this unit. The instructions said that the hole needed to be 10 3/8 by 11 3/8. I believe that is a little bit bigger than what this light needed. So I have a little gap on one side. Also, because I used the existing wiring, I can not separate the night light, light and fan. I switched it to the 110 cfm and the fan is surprisingly quiet.

[Rewarded Review] Best for new construction

Even though the instructions state "New Construction" -I decided to remove my old fan light and see if I could install this unit. I could not. This is unfortunate as it seems well designed and constructed and has many nice features -multi speed fan, multi shade light and a night light. Alas, only a professional electrician could redo my wiring to make this work and to physically install it would require crawling into a very low clearance area of my attic. When I looked into my attic I could not even find the electrical box where my current unit was wired into. This is when I repacked the box. I hope to return it. I hope my review helps with future customers decisions.

[Rewarded Review] Attractive and functional Led bathroom light/fan!

The Akicon bathroom fan/light/night light is an attractive alternative to standard bathroom fan/lights. I elected to install it myself due to my past electrical experience. It is a straightforward installation but requires 3 switches to operate all the features. I would recommend to have it installed by a certified electrician. My only concern is the operating instructions are not in the installation guide, but some are printed on the box it came in. It doesn't help you once you have thrown out the box.
