Difficult to Mount

Impossible to mount without special tools

Great metal attachment to the wall. Easy fold up and down seat and a beautiful teak wood. It will be installed with a hand grip at the side in my ADA bathroom

ADA compliance questionable

Installation per included instructions using included hardware is far from ADA compliant. Installation is complete but it remains to be seen if the seat will be usable. We were expecting that the seat would be stable but it has a significant amount of deflection when less than 100 lbs of weight is applied to the seat.

Only 2 long bolts to hold this up. Not very stabile. Returning

Looks nice and easy to setup (not install, I did not do that) and to put down.

Good shower seat that stays out of the way.

It is sturdy (when mounted properly) and the spring-loaded bottom stays up when you want it up. The only negative is that the bottom doesn't stay all the way down when there's no weight on it (again, because it's spring-loaded). I liked it enough that I bought a second one.

Not polished Chrome, false representation

The finish is powder coated silver paint. Also I do not think the metal is aluminum. Very disappointed that product was not as described. Lowe's needs to do a better job of insuring that products are as described .

Outstanding shower accessory

We use this seat in our master shower for our disabled son to sit on when he takes a shower. It works perfectly for him, is easy for him to use, and it cleans up with minimal effort. Its also sturdy enough for any average or above average sized adult to use should one desire to do so.

I initially loved the look of the product, however, it has failed to hold my weight. The advertising said it would hold 200+#, but I weigh 140# and it promptly fell off the wall. Defective product. Contractor installed the chair agrees.

I searched for a long time for the right shower seat. This was the one. We have been using it several months now and it is very comfortable and secure. Highly recommended.

In order to mount on the wall it is necessary to remove both brackets from the seat in order to be able to screw them into wall. Not a difficult thing to do, but a little work and should be part of the instructions. Mounting bolts should be longer (had to purchase longer ones). So far, so good.

Suggested installation is to attach to a stud. However, the metal bars are not spaced for stud installation. Also the included screws are not ideal for insertion. The supporting metal bars should extend further for stability. I question whether it hold much weight.

This product has what looks like polished chrome hardware, my shower hardware is brushed nickel - so I had the seats hardware refinished. It is very well built and the teak seat well finished - it was worth the extra expense. I got it on-line through Home Depot and when I told them of my issue the gave me a 10% discount that defrayed a bit of the refinished expense.
