Overall a nice quality light that is fairly easy to install. The light has a fairly standard look of the bowl and the bowl is removed from the light base by screwing the medallion on the light bowl. Installation is easy but could be improved by using a slightly different method for mounting install of the small bolt method utilized.

Medium sized ceiling lamp fits great into my hallway. Not to small like closet lights and not to large and obnoxious. Very easy to install as all mounting hardware is included. I found no instructions in the box. Used the previously installed electrical ceiling box and the lamp base fit perfect. The lamp base itself is a stamped piece of alloy metal and it is thin. The globe is made of frosted glass, heavy on the frosted. In addition, the lamp base does not have a groove to allow the mating of the globe to the base in order for it to not move and that was annoying during the installation. I used an LED A25 light bulb, equivalent to 100 watts and the frosted globe knocked down the luminosity, perhaps as much as half. The lamp looks good after installation is complete, but is nothing special.

This Bel Air “Mod Pod” model ceiling light is 11.5 inches wide, and it has a nice, white frosted glass dome that really sets it apart from so many other lights these days that use plastic these days. I really liked the brushed nickel finish on the light trim. It came with all the necessary hardware to install this on an existing ceiling electrical box (see picture). The base is insulated (see picture), and the base has a sticker that cautions to only use up to a 13 watt LED bulb which was not supplied. The fixture fits one bulb only, not three as stated on the Home Depot website. It is rated for damp locations so it would work well in a bathroom or laundry. It was just what I was looking for in a new ceiling light because it looked good and it can use an LED light bulb. I highly recommend this ceiling light as a nice and simple to install low profile, flush mount ceiling light.
