Although it is plastic, it seems sufficiently strong. Pricey. Of course, plastic will never corrode. Very good color and finish match to the water control handle and escutcheon which are metal. The installation was straightforward because I replaced a similar diverter tub spout made by Delta. Simply screw on. The included robust brass adaptor was not necessary in my case, since our plumbing already had one fitted for the old diverter. It would have been essential for a new install or replacement of another style diverter spout.

Cheap plastic had to get a replacement.

As many people have said, this is plastic, although it does look pretty nice and matches well with the rest of the set. In general I look the look of the set, but it does show water spots really quickly.

I needed to replace a spout & this did the trick perfectly. It saved me having to buy an entire shower/bath unit when all I needed was the single item. Very happy with it.

It was a replacement for the exact same item on which the diverter had started to slip. I had trouble finding on line and Wayfair had it!
