defective product

After washing this tea kettle with soap and water 3X then drying it; filling it with water again and bringing to a rolling boil and drying it, every time I dried it inside there was a black residue that was left and came off on my white dishtowel. Returned because this residue shouldn’t be injested!

You must turn it off BEFORE it boils or it overflows. Bummer.

Does its purpose

Some tarnishing inside of kettle but overall gets the job done. Was looking for one without the whistle and this doesn’t which is great.

Melted

First use on our GE induction stove (smallest burner) the bottom got red hot, warped, paint burned /melted off. Useless. Returning what’s left of it.

This is actually our second gooseneck kettle the first one we had was a different brand and the handle actually melted off. This one is very sturdy easy to clean and so far the handle has remained intact.

I love this kettle. I like that there’s a red area on thermometer to show you if you’re at the right temperature yet.

I love this tea kettle and the blue color is just like the picture. Works perfect and you have the thermometer just to check it out to see how hot you might want it. And to pour is super simple. I love this slimmer neck so you can control how much water you want

I suspect that product is not really interns for use with an induction stove. It gave off a smell and the paint started to peel off. I am very disappointed. I don’t know whether it will do the same for someone who uses it on another type of cooktop. I wouldn’t risk it. The smell is pretty awful.

I live alone, so this is perfect for me. I originally wanted an electrical kettle, but I’m glad I went with this one. It holds it hot for a very long time. Shows you the temperature as well.
