SO DISAPPOINTED--MOLD!
I just purchased this bottle 4 months ago and it is moldy and disgusting! I wash it every day, change the filter as suggested and now I have to throw it away. (Plus 20 dollars in filters I purchased at the same time). I am so disappointed, seeing that Brita is supposed to be a high quality brand. I should have listened to the people that said to stay away from this product. I'm disabled and can't afford to throw $40.00 away. NEVER again.
Brita 36 ounce Water Bottle
Brita 36 ounce Water Bottle makes it so easy to keep drinking clean, filtered water. Top rack dishwasher safe parts so you can sterilize often. Gives me a clean way to drink healthy and save the environment at the same time since I don't litter it with plastic water bottles. Replacement filters in a 3 pack or a 6 pack are easy to find and are often on sale. Thank you, Walmart for helping us drink clean and healthy.
Great value product!
It’s a quality product at less than $17.00 compared to Target at $22.00. Super convenient because you fill it with tap water and as you sip the water is purified instantly. Place it the frigid over night for ice cold water. Instructions are simple. Wash with soapy water except the filter. Run cold water on and through the filter for 15-20 seconds. Connection is simple and will last 40 gallons.
As an active person who values convenience and quality, I recently purchased the Brita Thermos Filter to take fresh, clean water with me wherever I go. It is made of durable and sturdy materials that appear to be of high quality. I especially like its compact size, which makes it easy to carry in my bag or backpack. Using the Brita thermos is very simple. I simply fill the thermos with tap water, and the filter does the work while I drink. I don't have to worry about buying bottled water, which is great for reducing plastic waste.
Good bottle if you don’t mind washing it everyday.
Been using it for a few weeks now and the Bottle overall has great design and works great. I could feel the slight change in taste of water before and after. But, unlike regular straw, it needs significant effort to draw the water out. Also, the mouth piece is made of silicone material that stinks if you don’t wash it regularly. Brita recommends washing everything except the filter every day. And yeah it is dishwasher safe.
Great water bottle
I really like this water bottle, simple and works great. Filter replacement is affordable, I am not planning to use this every single day, so most likely last longer till I have to replace the filter. Great that it includes one for free. Using the water is fine, just doesn't flow as well as your typical water bottle with a straw. But that is as expected with filtered water bottles, doesn't really bother me much. I plan to use it for office use or when I travel, great to have during those occasions incase there isn't a fresh water source to refill my bottle.
More Than 36 ounces
Since I am tracking how much water I’m drinking throughout the day, it’s hard to determine how many ounces I’m drinking at one time. (Reason I rated it the way that I did.) To figure it out, I used a measuring cup to mark the bottle as I filled it up. As a result, I learned the bottle isn’t 36 ounces, but actually 40 ounces. At first, I thought my math wasn’t mathing so I double checked my results. I’m glad I decided to find this out because it makes it much easier to meet my goal. If this bottle had the measurements already on it instead of just the max fill line, it would make it an even better buy. Plus, I love that I can always have filtered water without the cost of bottled water.
The Brita Premium Filtering Water Bottle is a convenient and eco-friendly way to enjoy filtered water on the go. The hard-sided plastic is durable and the filter effectively reduces chlorine taste and odor from tap water. The bottle is easy to use and clean, and the design is sleek and stylish. However, the flow rate can be a bit slow, especially when the filter is nearing the end of its life. Overall, it's a great choice for staying hydrated while reducing single-use plastic waste.
These Bottles ARE NOT “leakproof”
I bought 3 of these bottles for my kids to use at school. thinking these would be perfect since it has a filter and is advertised as “leakproof” Well I’m here to tell you that all 3 of the bottles I bought leak easily. We’ve had to clean out soaked backpacks, water leaks in or on desks and many other times. just truly disappointed I spent a good bit to get the better bottles for my kids and feel like I just got kicked in the gut because they’re leaking like the cheap bottles I’ve bought before so now I have to replace the bottles I just bought all over again. 😠
This product sucks 0/10 🚨DO NOT BUY🚨
I got this water bottle. first of all the straw is so hard to get water though. idk if it’s just the one i got but you had to be trying to drink water for like 2 min then get like barley a teaspoon of water. you are going to die of dehydration before you get water though that straw. and not only that, i would wash my water bottle like every other day not only did like the cap part get extremely moldy but also inside the straw. like black mold you are drinking BLACK MOLD IN YOU WATER. absolutely disgusting was sick for like a month
Moldy!! No replacements! Your loss
STAY AWAY!! Great product for like a month or two. The straw was the part for me to go. It got super moldy. Even when trying to clean the thing, the off putting taste was still there. I started with this one. The mold was what got me to try the more expensive version. Both stink.
Refreshing Water, But Ice-Drinking Challenge
The Brita Premium 26oz Filtering Water Bottle has been a welcome addition to my daily routine. It indeed enhances the taste of the water. However, it can be a bit challenging to drink from when I add ice to my water, which is my preferred way to enjoy it. I noticed they offer a larger version, but it’s not readily available at Target, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s a good choice if you don’t mind sipping your water without ice.
A Frustrating Bottle
At first, I LOVED my Brita water bottle. My partner and I both got one and couldn't stop raving about it because it made it so easy to stay hydrated and not worry about the water we were using so much. My opinion of the bottle started to turn a few months in when the mouthpiece started to develop black spots. At first I thought it was just the charcoal from the filter, but after washing it in the dishwasher and taking a straw brush to it, it wouldn't go away. I thought "okay, no big deal, I'll just replace the top to the bottle." That was strike two. You CANNOT replace just the top to the Brita bottle. If you have to replace any piece of it, you are out of luck and have to buy a whole new bottle. This was frustrating, but I still really loved my bottle and it really was helping me to stay hydrated, so I caved and bought another. This one lasted a bit longer, but I started having issues with the mouthpiece again. They are originally a sort of milky-clear, but after a while, it started to turn a yellowish tone on the inside, regardless of how frequently I washed it. I would really love for these bottles to have replaceable mouthpieces because that really is the only issue, but this seems to be a common complaint and Brita doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.
Good for filtering- bad for insulation
I’m a bit paranoid when it comes to germs and food/drink. So I appreciate this bottle for the filter, since I freak out if the water I’m drinking isn’t 100% clear and clean. I even figured out that you CAN put powder flavoring in here without the flavor getting filtered out! All that being said: if you like your water bottles to be insulated and keep stuff cold, do not buy this. It’s not insulated at all—seconds after putting ice and water in it, I can feel the outside get cold and start forming condensation. Pretty frustrating, since I planned to take this to school where I wouldn’t be able to replace the ice or use a fridge or anything. But fine for when I’m just in my house. So, if you want insulation? No. Don’t. If you don’t mind? Great. Good for germaphobes.
Wouldn’t buy again or recommend to others.
I wish I had read the reviews first. They are true. It’s not user friendly. I actually drink less water when using it. It requires a lot of suction which isn’t bad but when you use it at your bedside table at night it is a pain. It needs to stay completely straight up to drink from, so tilting it is a no no and it leaks. It requires a bunch of suction to drink from, so if your nose is stuffed up, you pant for breath due to lack of oxygen because it took a whole minute to create enough suction for one sip. It also says it is insulated but my Walmart brand plastic shaker cup keeps ice longer than this bottle. My water is always warm. I’m not a fan. It will go into the back of my cupboard to collect dust. Oh… it filters water though… just not the greatest. My ice cubes still make the water taste a little bad just not as much as without.
Best water bottle EVER.
I LOVE this water bottle. If you're thinking about buying it, but don't know where to start, let me help you.
Mixed experiences
Me and my husband bought one each and our experiences were completely different. He loves it. It’s his new favorite bottle and he’s had many before, including insulated ones. He likes his water cold so mainly keeps it in the fridge and/or with ice but it doesn’t bother him at all, it’s really easy to use and clean and I’m pretty sure this is the only filtered water bottle out there. Me on the other hand, I’m not sure why but every time I used it I’d pass both air and water at first, and then just water. This ended up in a lot of air bubbles in my throat and it was a really painful experience to make it go away. I will never use this again. That being said, we both would recommend it because I haven’t seen anyone experiencing what happened to me so it is most likely a rare case.
Save The Enviroment & Your Money
I will never buy another water bottle again. I’m shocked more people aren’t talking about these environmentally friendly bottles. Yes the it is made of BPA free plastic but…you can reuse it anywhere. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and camping. These have been a game changer. There are often times where only water from a hose or outdoor faucet was available. Although they aren’t life straws (we also have those) we like the functionality of these when we are traveling. We have found we use these a ton during our flights and hotel stays when water is $4 a bottle. We can drink from the tap, faucet, hose, or water fountain and it will taste like spring water with these bottles. We can’t recommend these enough to our fellow travelers. We’ve saved so much time, money, and the environment!
pretty but the filtered water doesn't taste good
the product looks pretty, but the water that comes out of it tastes terrible! and I made sure to rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse. Even though the straw is soft and doesn't cut my lips, it's not easy to use to suck the water up from, or it's not pleasant enough to want to do. there's no instructions on what to do with the filter itself while I'm washing the unit. This also claims that most parts are dishwasher safe, but I can tell just by looking at the parts, that just because you can put them in the dishwasher doesn't mean that the dishwasher will get them clean. I only test it out the product using water, so it's not like I'm worried about that. I'm not. I'm just saying.
My New BFF
I absolutely LOVE this bottle. When my beloved HydroSpark died, I purchased the teal color and have had it for over a year now. So easy to take with me or keep near me at home. I don’t feel complete if I leave the house without my bottle; it’s now an extension of my body. It saves money and the planet since I no longer purchase plastic water bottle packs. I have dropped it a few times and to my amazement, it didn’t break (I don’t recommend dropping tho…painfully loud and sad). Its easy to clean and I haven’t noticed mold in the straw like other reviews state. I don’t really have any complaints with the product itself though I wish it came in some unique designs, or other fun colors. Maybe some cute water bottle accessories??
