I’ve tried everything but I can’t remove the water container from the base! There must be a trick to this, but it’s beyond my comprehension! Frustrating!!!

The tank of replenishing water bowls. I have a Rhodesian ridgeback that is 2, enough said lol. She is a thirsty and hyper one. She is happy she doesn’t have to alert for a refill anymore.

Dos and Don'ts for this particular waterer

I am about to this for 4th time. I love mason jar look. I think it is much more decorative then the other gravity waterers we've had. But I will answer the questions from some of the other reviews both good and bad. The first one I ordered I got the smaller 1/2 gallon size which was too small for 2 dogs and a cat. So the second one I got was the next bigger 1 gallon size. Which I thought I could clean and sanitize it better by running through the dishwasher. A BIG NO NO. You can put the hard plastic piece on the bottom that drink from in the dishwasher to sanitize it. But whatever you do, DO NOT put the clear plastic part that holds water in the dishwasher. The plastic is too thin and the heat from the dishwasher melted it and deformed it. So I ended buying another one that has lasted a long time, because I still like how decorative it is, but after 4 years of wear and tear by 2 dogs and a cat the flanges that lock the clear reservoir to the base are starting to break. So I am going to a 4th one. As for the other reviews. If the water overflows the base it is not because the product is defective. It is because you probably didn't put the charcoal filter back in it. Or strap in filter. Which I have done both. It's operator malfunction not the product. Also the cap on top is for decorative purposes ONLY. No you cannot cut a whole in it and fill it from the top because it will lose the ability form a vacuum and the water will pour out of it just like it does if you don't put the filter in it after you fill it. Again operator malfunction. Not product malfunction

I’m not exactly sure what the lid is supposed to do on top. Can you cut a hole in it and fill it from the top please let me know.

This Dog Waterer design makes No Sense.

I bought this because of the lid. I thought I would be able to remove the Lid and add water. The Lid doesn't serve a purpose.

Low water in bowl

Can someone please explain why the water is not flowing into the bowl after my drinks from it? I keep in having to tip the entire unit forward or sideways to get the water to flow into the bowl.

Works well but rim of bottle is thin and breaks

Have been using one for about 6 months. It works great having three dogs. The downside is the bottle is harder plastic and has a thin rim that locks to the bowl. This rim is starting to break. Hate throwing away the whole bowl because they do not sell a replacement bottle.

Even though I change the water every week, the filter once a month and clean the bowl throughly, I have a hard time getting rid of the calcium that accumulates on the plastic bowl. Very disappointed with this product.
