I love this coffee maker
I absolutely love this coffee maker and I think it is worth it if you are a coffee lover. I got it for $234 CAD. It is definitely on the pricier side but it gives you plenty of options to brew your coffee and it comes with a frother. You can brew k-cup coffee pods and coffee grounds with plenty of size options, brew style from classic, rich, over ice and specialty.
Fantastic
Have had this for two years now and it is wonderful. Only issue is the backlights on the panel are burning out making it difficult for anyone not familiar to make coffee. Otherwise would give 5 stars. Makes hot coffee fast. Makes awesome rich coffee for iced coffee etc. Just a really great coffee maker.
Wow I really like this coffee maker. I wish I had gotten it sooner. I was trying to make up my mind on other brands and then I seen this one. First time using ninja coffee maker and i love it so far. Hotter coffee then the other 3 brands i have try over the years. Hope this last long. All the other i get about a little over an year.
Coffee Machine Doesn’t last long
I bought this machine about a year and half ago and was used maybe a couple times a week. The machine worked fantastic when it was working. The unit stopped working in July. When contacting ninja they said it was out of warranty and offered a just the machine $40 less than cost. Read the reviews. Ninja has good products, but this product has a consistent issue that they have not addressed. They continue to sell the unit to. Check ninja dual brew pro stopped working and see all the reviews being the same.
Don't waste your money!
I bought a Ninja coffee maker over 2 years ago and am so disappointed that is has such a short lifespan (CFP305 model, same as this one but only difference is it comes with a steel carafe instead of glass). For a $200 coffee maker, you wouldn't expect it to last only 2 years. A month or two ago it started randomly powering off. Like other reviewers here, I thought it might be the outlet I was using, but no, it's just the power supply in the base. Finally contacted Ninja customer service for troubleshooting and they said because it only had a 1-year warranty, all they could do was offer a 30% off coupon. I will not be purchasing a Ninja coffee maker again because so many other customers experienced the same problem and the same result. Completely unacceptable on Ninja's part to sell low-quality machines at this price point, with only a 1-year warranty.
Error Codes: Run Away!!!
It started out great, but after about 2 months it started to show an Error 06 code, "Clean", or Add Water. It had water in it always, I followed the cleaning process multiple times,. Have switched to distilled water, etc. It still does the same thing. Shuts down intermittently or will not work at all. Sooo frustrated. Customer Service!???? Good luck. My $40 Mr. Coffee worked for 10 years! This is ridiculous considering the price.
Dangerous Mess
We are big believers in Shark/Ninja products!! This was the worst investment in a coffeemaker. Ninja has sent us replacement parts and a whole new unit only to have the same, unresolved issue. The machine's pressure is too great and spews grounds from kcups and coffee filter into the cup or carafe nearly every time. Our first unit sprayed so badly it would come out the sides and all over the counter at near-boiling temps, that is dangerous! The second unit doesn't have "overspray" like that, but it still isn't right. We can't ever count on having a cup of coffee grounds-free.
Bought this about 8 months ago. Love all the options but have already had to replace the brew basket. Cost me 21.00 with shipping. The small gasket on the inside that keeps the liquid from flowing when in closed position disintegrated. The new one I bought is starting to do the same. It seems the hot coffee is softening it. Once the replacement is gone I will be buying another brand.
I have been emerging my kitchen in all ninja appliances here recently and decided to purchase the coffee pot. Best decision ever. I have stopped drinking coffee so my husband like the keurigs now so much more convenient for him, but with this pot he can brew a keurig or if family and friend are over he can brew a full pot. Love the milk brother attachment and the measuring spoon. We have always used a Bunn Coffee pot, so we were worried by switching we would loose the speedieness of brewing time, but this one brews a cup of coffee in less that 2 min. We'll done Ninja!!!!
Amazing but doesn’t last. Sad about customer supp
My husband and I love this coffee maker. We live for it every day when we wake up. We love that it does both a big pot and Kcups. Well, it did not does anymore. It lasted just over a year 😭. We took care of it. We cleaned it often. We put the clean cycle on weekly. It just stopped working one day for Kcups and only makes half of the coffee programmed for the pot. Ninja went through the motions when I called. They watched it on video make half the pot requested. Then they said, yes it’s not working right but you are a few months over warranty So… you are SOL 🥹🥹🥹🥹. We are living in this economy like everyone else with 4 kids just trying to buy food so unfortunately our ninja will have to remain like this until it dies completely and I then have to get a simple inexpensive coffee maker 😔. It will be another half functioning appliance like my washing machine that requires a weight on it to hold the top down. So yes the coffee maker is amazing and I want it back but if you can’t pay this price tag for it to last just over a year like me, get a simple coffee maker and not ninja. I have been having bad luck with their brand. If ninja wants to prove me wrong and replace mine, game on! I am up for the challenge. Prove me wrong that your products can last!
Stopped working after 1-1/2 years
This coffee maker worked great until we had to do a clean cycle. We followed cleaning directions exactly--four times--and now when we try to make coffee the machine makes a grinding noise and then demands to be cleaned again. Unfortunately it is out of warranty and cannot be fixed. We were offered a 30% discount on a new machine, but since I dislike when expensive products fail after less than two years, I certainly won't be buying another Ninja coffee maker.
So nice I bought it twice
My MIL gifted me this coffee maker over a year ago- I love it! It really almost does it all- kcups, ground coffee (any size from single cup to full pot), hot water in various sizes, and a frother. Very intuitive and easy to set the timer for coffee to be ready when you wake up! I love the cleaning feature- it takes a long time to cycle, but that makes me feel like it’s really cleaning it. No complaints. A few features that could make it perfect would be a coffee bean grinder and the automatic “stay warm” feature for smaller pots of coffee. For example, when I make 28 oz, the stay warm is automatic. When I make 18 oz (which is the size I make for my husband and I to each have a cup) it’s not. So if you don’t pour it right away, it will get cold. I wake up before my husband, so I will twist the knob to 28 oz and manually press “stay warm”. I love this coffee maker so much that when a power issue fried it (not ninjas fault) I bought it again.
[Rewarded Review] Love that the coffee so hot
My son got this for us 2 Christmases ago and it still doing great! Use to make coffee with grounds. Love how quick and hot the coffee is. Only thing I don’t like is frother doesn’t heat. Luckily son got us a separate frother. Price is really high and yes it will leak if you don’t run vinegar through it ever so often for calcium deposits.
Read the reviews before you buy
It lasted us a little over a year. One morning it just stopped working. The clean light came on I did the maintenance and it turned on again. The next morning I went to make coffee and just heavy steam started coming out instead of coffee. Cleaned it again tried to get it to work and was unsuccessful. Now I just get to watch my $200 go in the garbage 😭. Really expected more from this machine. Also, the water reservoir builds algae and it’s very hard to clean.
Coffee maker identifies as an alarm clock
Should not have such a loud beeper. And you cannot turn it off. Beeps loud and for several reasons. So wakes everyone in house when I try to make coffeee before work. Remove the beeper. It would be a great coffee maker. I can tell when my coffee is done . I do not need a beeper on blast.
Great for short term use
I purchased thus machine just over 2 years ago. I have absolutely loved the machine. It brewes the perfect drip coffee every time. The convenience of the rotatable water reservoir makes this an ideal machine for small/limited spaces. The hot water option is perfect for tea, boiling water to make quick oats, ect. About a year in of daily use the light to indicate the power button stopped showing. No big deal, easy enough to find after a year of use. Fast forward a year, now there are several indicator lights missing. The design if a sensitive digital backlogs panel placed right against where the hot water brews for a pot of coffee was a poor design. I assume they thought most people would be using coffee pods. Obviously, this machine is not for the non coffee pod peeps like myself if you want the item to function long term as designed. Again, great machine, but the price and reduced reliability of the machine is not justified.
Great coffee maker ... but doesn't last....
Purchased this item from ninja in March 2023. It's been awesome... love the versatility and the size.... but it has been a problem the last few days. It's been making a grinding noise, higher pitched noise and barely dispensing any water. Even with 4 cleans in a row it did not help at all! I bought the 70$ clyde insurance but since it's been over a year ninja can't help. Have to call the extra warranty which I was told Clyde is now XCover. I go to their website and there's absolutely no number to call and you can only make a claim if you still have the email you used to purchase said item. Which for me, I do not have that email anymore. So I guess I'm just screwed with a item that doesn't work after only little over a year. Big waste of $240. I loved my original ninja coffee maker had it 5 years before giving it away. Guess I shouldn't of done that. Things are just not made like they used to anymore but love to give that high price tag. I think I may resort to going to a different brand of coffee maker. I'm very disappointed since I also have other ninja items that I love. Note that my dual brew is literally only used once a day sometimes not at all so it's never had heavy use and cleaned on regular basis. And I only use bottled water for it never tap.
Ninja
I initially loved our Ninja coffee maker—great design, brewed delicious coffee, and was a perfect addition to our kitchen. However, after just a year of use, it suddenly stopped working. When I reached out to Ninja, I was disappointed to learn that they wanted to charge us $100 for replacement parts. For a machine that’s only a year old, I expected better durability and customer service. This has really soured my experience with the brand, and I’m not sure I’ll be buying from Ninja again in the future.
Dual Brew Pro
I have loved plenty of Ninja products, until the DualBrew Pro. I've had my dual brew pro at my coffee bar for the better part of 2+ years, but it's time to move on. I use the pot and brew grounds daily, that's fine, as is the hot water dispenser, all good attributes to have. However, the pod brewer is the worst. It doesn't matter what brand of cup we use, Keurig, Costco, Sam's, Dunkin, Starbucks, etc., we have stopped using the convenience of the pod brewer, as the grounds in each cup has ruined the convenience and the option. We've even gone so far, as to use a filter in the basket under the pod dispenser, unfortunately, that's no better, it's just a backed up mess, due to the grounds in the filter, coffee not draining into the cup. We don't use the pod dispenser, and that was kind of the point in buying the dual brewer. Now we just have a slew of pods we haven't been able to use.
EXPLODING PODS!!! THREE DIFFERENT BRANDS.
I feel like I'm the only one having this problem and it's a strange one that's driving me crazy. Everything was working great using Folgers pods, then a friend of mine brought over Tim Horton pods and that's when the nightmare begins. During Tim's brew the pod would explode and all the grounds would end up in my cup, strange that has never happened before, must be a bad batch of pods. So a week later I decide to get Starbucks pods, well guess what, same thing, blows the pod and all the grounds end up in my cup. I do a clean on it twice but nothing changes. Still under warranty I bring back to Canadian tire and exchange for new one, well guess what, same thing. I said it must be the pods, so I buy McDonalds pods and the first one didn't blow up, I was so happy, then the next day, go to have another and it blows up, try again, same thing, I'm lost. Folger pods still work fine, no exploding, scratching head!
