Over all good tent

Over all a good two person tent with doors on both sides. It's definitely a backpacking tent. Far to big to put into a backpack. Good for car camping though

Good budget tent for child backpacking

Quick and easy to put together, fairly light weight!

Very cheap poles

Both the long poles shattered completely the second time we used it. For some reason Walmart says it’s not eligible for return.

Excellent deal when on sale.

As-Is weight it's too heavy for backpacking unless your 1 wants to carry the poles and stakes. The poles are a little over 2lbs, and the stakes just ovber 1lb. Replaceing the two long poles with 3.7m aluminum ones, and getting 10 aluminum stakes will bring the total weight to 5.4 lbs in my case. Around $20 for the poles and $6 for the stakes is a solid investment if you are going for budget hack backpacking.

Most reliable tent!

I have an older version of this same tent (red and yellow) and have used it for most camping trips the last 10 years. It is perfect for 2 people. Works with 2 sleeping pads and bags, with a bit of room for a toiletry bag inside. The vestibules are wonderful for storing gear and an average tarp fits underneath for anyone wanting to camp on a budget. Just make sure the tarp is tucked inside of the rainfly to keep from getting wet.

Ignore the word "backpacking"

It's not really a backpacking tent. Ozark trail's 3 person regular dome tent is better for that purpose, but as a general tent it's held up really well for me in high winds and rain for the couple of thunderstorms I've been in. The metal poles, beefy stakes, and guy lines makes it feel very secure and keeps the tent planted in high winds.

50.00 ok garbage.

bought this tent in a pinch, just for me for a 2 week stay at a park. I bought this thinking hey this is gonna be a good tent, so let’s start with the pros, first off, it sets up fast, the tent fly was a bit iffy with the buckles but it was alright and enough room for a cot and some gear for 1 person. Con, we got hit by a thunderstorm and a downpour. the center cross seam of the rain fly failed and i got a slow drip from it. ended up having to make sure i was watching it so it doesn’t fail further and if the top of the tent without the fly had solid material rather than just bug screen material then it would have been a lot better and having air gets you can open up. and the fly should not have failed at the peak over the tent. So to combat this, i took duct tape and taped over all cross seams of the tent fly inside and outside even tho it looked uglier afterwards but it works. 100 mph duct tape for the win. As a caution i would advise if someone is going to buy this tent then throw over a small tarp or a canopy over the tent for added protection. i wouldnt buy this tent again. the tent fly is made out of garbage material.

No real complaints

The tent and its components are great. Certainly not unique to this one, could we please get a carrying bag that the tent and components actually fit in?

Great Little Tent Exceeded Expectations

It was very easy to set up. The rain fly goes almost all the way to the ground, which is nice. It held up great to heavy winds and rain. I did add silicon spray to the seams upon initial setup as a precaution. There's enough room for two people, but not much extra for a lot of gear. Great for one person and all their backpacking gear. There's a door on each side. It folds up back into the bag with enough extra room to also fit a small mattress. Best buy for a $50 tent.

Tent Measurements

I worry at the quality hecause one end of the bag says 5'6" depth and the other end says 120" depth

Pick something else

The design of this tent makes getting in / out a nightmare, you are supposed to have the fly tight to keep moisture away but the door on the fly is designed so you can't get in or out. The overall tent is fine, its just a design flaw.

Perfect for 2

Held up during wet and windy beach nights, only down fall was that it was missing the stakes, thankfully I had spares.

Worked for me

Ok, I just needed an inexpensive tent for some late November camping in Georgia. Cold temperatures don't bother me, I have a good sleeping bag for that. I just needed to keep the wind and rain off. Temps got down into the 30s, wind up to about 20mph, and it poured a couple of nights. This tent does the trick. Due to its design, it is really not intended to be a hardcore camping tent. The main tent is open, but screened. It then has a cover to go over it. Some breeze will get in. If you need total wind block this is not the one for you. I found it suitable, without material flaws, and easy to set up.

Quality. I tried to mount the tent, but one of the stem has thread which is broken.

AMAZING

This tent is awesome. I've spent almost 100 nights in it. It stood up to a rain storm with 80 mph winds (using 10" stakes). I've owned tons of tents, and this has been the toughest I've had. ...The hate here is coming from people who don't know what they're doing or expect a $300 tent for $50.
