My Teens Like It

While a coffee person, even roast my own coffee, I don't drink expresso. My teens love all the sweet Starbucks kind of drinks. With this, they can make it at home and save bucks. 10 fancy starbucks and you have paid for the machine! The machine is attractive, small footprint, good directions that are easy to understand, easy to clean. Frother works but I still need to develop better expertise in that. With a couple weeks use, we are pleased with it.

Malfunctioning after only 6 months

This machine worked as advertised for about 6 months and then started to put out less and less water per shot. Barely half an ounce would be supplied for a single shot, and for a double just a little over one ounce would come out. Even then, the temperature of the coffee was barely room temp. Additionally, the frothing/steam feature now barely works. I do not recommend this espresso maker. I will be returning and purchasing a different brand. Do yourself a favor and just spend a little more for something that will last and is of higher quality.

Great product with excellent customer support

I bought Casabrews after being unhappy with my old coffee machine. This was one of the best value-for-money purchases, and it exceeded my expectations! It’s ready to operate almost instantly and has very simple, intuitive controls that brew coffee like a professional barista. I had to contact customer support, and the service was outstanding! Ryan, the company’s representative, was knowledgeable, professional, and resolved my problem in the blink of an eye. I am very happy with the product and will definitely buy from this company again!

Awesome little machine!

I'm no espresso machine or coffee expert. But I can tell good coffee from excellent. I love the crema you get with this machine. It's easy to use and make fancy lattes. The steam wand is easy to use/clean. It froths the milk fast to create a cafe style texture. Overall, I'm super happy! Even my skeptic husband thinks it's pretty good. The only thing I wish it came with was a frothing jug. I had to buy that separately

Great bargin espresso machine. It doesn't make too much noise (no more than my previous nespresso). It's very straight forward to use (especially once you read the directions or if you've used an espresso machine before). I let the machine preheat and my shots are always hot. I steam the milk after pulling the shot because then I don't have to purge water to lower the pressure in the machine. It's a great addition to my kitchen, looks very sleek, and works really well. I love that I can make a latte that's the perfect temp, which for me is hot. There are a couple of minor draw backs but not big enough for me to remove a star. The tamper is flimsy, get yourself a new one (it works fine, but you really have to muscle it). While I love how compact the machine is, I don't like that i have to pull my shot into a smaller mug because none of my taller mugs can fit under the portafilter. Otherwise a great product for the price.

Dismal delivery experience (UPS, not HD) ok

UPS was reporting on the truck at 9:30am morning of, then no updates until "delivered" with photo around 6pm. Photo showed a house almost 1/2 mile from me, where *I* completed delivery to myself. Not impressed.

Impressive espresso machine

This espresso machine is impressive. I was looking for a smaller machine to replace my old Breville that stopped working and I am amazed at the performance of this tiny machine. It’s quiet, much quieter than my old one, while making much better espresso. I would say that the quality of the coffee is comparable to the professional machines that cost ten times the price. It also takes only a few seconds to heat up, so I am able to have my coffee in no time. Finally the beige color is so nice, it looks great on my counter!

It works great!

I love how great my coffee tastes now. Casabrews CM5418 Compact does an excellent job at breaking it down so I can experience the rich flavors. I give four stars because I've had to buy shorter cups to fit under the nozzle. Also, it vibrates so much that sometimes my cup vibrates and moves too far to the side. Sometimes the vibration is more intense than others. I am hoping this is normal. It is definitely worth buying!

Delivered in original package

I have not tried the item but I am very disappointed on how it arrived. It arrived in its original packaging. I wanted to keep the box in case I have to store it and now I can't because the box came beat up and dirty. This also may be a concern for whether the product works or not. If it's delivered in its original packaging then it can easily be damaged through transportation. I hope the quality trumps my opinion on how this item was delivered but I am very disappointed. I feel like Casabrew made no effort when delivering this machine and I hope it's not damaged.

So impressed!!!

I’ve worked as a Barista, on and off, for over 25 years and I honestly could not be more impressed with this machine. For the price, I was really skeptical that it would be able to deliver quality shots and steaming capability, but this thing is amazing! Literally, the first shot I pulled was nearly perfect and after dialing in the grind a little on the Casabrews grinder, the next shot was spot on. Steaming the milk was a breeze and although I didn’t expect it to have the same performance as the La Marzocco that I used at work, for a machine that cost less than $150, that would be an unreal expectation. Everything feels solid and well built and I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes on a daily basis. If your on the fence and not sure whether to take the plunge, give it a try, I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed!

So far all good

I love how small this machine is. I love the portafilter and how the filter sits in and doesn’t fall out into the trash with the puck. I love how quickly the machine heats up. The créma is perfect every time, even with bad beans. The steam wand does not spit water like other at home machines I have had: it steams. I have no complaints thus far. The instructions are clear for beginners or someone who has never tried espresso.

Overwhelmed

My daughter got a job as a barista a couple years ago. Shortly after that started she started telling me the thing on my counter that I called an espresso machine was not an espresso machine at all. I started looking. My goodness these machines are pricey. This one caught my eye because it was affordable but seemed to have everything I was told to look for.

First-time owner of Expresso Machine - Great

This is first time of owning the Espresso Machine and so far so good. Be mindful and make sure that the water tank behind the Espresso machine is completely and tightly connected before you pour a lot of water. Maybe test it with a small amount of water first. It's also easy for first time users to forget to pour more water as you start using it several times. Keep all the accessories that come with it in a small container otherwise you will use likely lose it. Comes with everything that you would need to make Cappuccino or Espresso. Overall, we are happy with the machine and especially with the clear instructions that came with it. The Espresso Machine was also well-packaged.

Seems ok but the portafilter leaks every time!

I tried for over a week to make a good cup of espresso, while I’ve had some tasty cups the machine still doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. The portafilter leaks, NO MATTER what you do it leaks! I have 4 or 5 different ground coffee to trying to find the perfect grind for his machine, I can’t get enough pressure either? I have made sure to not over fill the portafilter too. So, my son makes great espresso, he came over to see what was wrong with the machine %26 he could not get it to not leak. He tried several shots, he looked things up in the manual %26 he then recommended I send it back.

Sleek design and packs a bunch

I've owned a fully manual Saeco espresso machine for 15 years. It's did me fine, but I wanted to try a different model and to see what improvements have been made with a moderate price point. My My Saeco was $500 US, I was skeptical about Casabrews reviews costing less.

I love the ease of use, in terms of espresso. Lovely crema! I appreciate the ability to quickly make hot water. The pressure dial on the front adds a fun retro vibe.

Love the machine

I'm a fan of espresso, but I don't consider myself a coffee connoisseur. Although I'm not completely convinced that this is the ultimate machine on the market, it has garnered recognition on multiple reputable lists and is simple to operate. It heats up rapidly and fulfills all my requirements. There have been some comments about it generating excessive pressure for espresso, but this only pertains to its potential power, not its real performance. In truth, it produces the perfect pressure for brewing a flawless cup of coffee.

Makes great coffee. Got it for my girlfriend as a birthday present. Shipped fine and was delivered early. Cute color and good build quality. Makes very smooth coffee and cone with all the needed equipment.
