DIY Friendly

Easy to install (DIY friendly), well made, quality doorknob and deadbolt. Feels sturdy and reliable. The only con for me was the doorknob opens from the inside, even when locked. You can't just twist the knob to check and make sure you didn't forget to lock the door. Also, a child could get out, even if the door is locked if the deadbolt isn't engaged.

Poor construction

Never thought I'd have an issue with schlage. Bought a new lock. Set and come to find out that the deadbolt scratches every time the door is unlocked!! The only thing holding the lever on is a very loose snap ring. I brought this to their attention and they sent me a defective replacement!😂 Just don't buy their reputation anymore. I also talked to a locksmith and he said he's not using their locks anymore. I told the Schlage rep that I just don't have time for this. So, I just won't trust their products anymore. Buyer beware.
