My shipping experience was way
My shipping experience was way less than 1 star, got little to no response as to what was happening on the month and a half it took with two different couriers and a return to sender, after being told 2 weeks at most. Will definitely not be a returning customer.
Beautiful look!
Installed this product in my master bedroom. Took a little longer because there was no existing light or fan so I had to run power and install a fan box (not included). It is a really beautiful product once it is completed, however there is a ton of hardware for the fan blades. If it is your first time installing a ceiling fan I wouldn't choose this product as the instructions are not as detailed as I have seen others. Like I said though, beautiful product once completed, but you'll definitely want someone helping you installing all the hardware on the blades.
Lots of hardware
Works great install was standard for the most part. On of the big down sides it the fan blades most are just a 3 bolt install this one was pushing six bolts per blade over clean look and it blow’s awesome.
Solid choice for what I needed
The fan arrived well-packaged in it's box with the installation booklet on top -- so I didn't have to go digging to find out where to start. Assembly of the fan blades was straightforward, although it did take a bit of time because you're bolting together the fan tips and mounts. Once the blades were assembled, replacing an existing fan took about an hour and was pretty straight-forward although some of that was using a utility knife to clean up a few paint drips on I noticed on some of the blades. I appreciated the keyhole mounting and that the fan blade bolts were retained with a paper insert so they wouldn't fall out during overhead installation.
Statement piece with some cheap feels
The fan itself is quite a statement piece once installed while it has some flaws otherwise in different areas. The fan blades themselves feel very cheap. They're very lite but do not feel sturdy in your hand at all. They ding up quite easily as well. I was attaching the blade mounting brackets and found that a small dent appeared in the other end of the fan blade from something the blade was resting on at the time. The white finish is sleek while it shows everything. I had washed my hands prior to starting knowing it was white. The residual oils on my skin and/or the black/smoked chrome fasteners rubbed off on the blades leaving faint finger prints that didn't want to come off when trying to clean them. I'm worried with the weight of the attachment pieces on the end of the blades will cause the blades to warp over time. If you're a first time DIY person trying to install this the directions are a bit clumsy in my opinion. The picture reference are small with multiple steps combined into one picture. The primary wiring for the fan comes with 4+ feet of wiring so you can install the fan on a longer pole while the fall arrest cord is only like a foot long. Seems like it should be adjustable as well. I was unable to find in the instructions where the black plastic pieces where the blades mount to the motor have to be removed. Another one of those things that for a first time DIY person they might have been confused. I did like that the fasteners for the blades to the motor were held in place to the brackets with a small piece of cardboard. This made mounting them very easy. The motor assembly is very sturdy and felt very well put together. I like the look the black/smoked chrome accent pieces give to this unit. The shape isn't ideal as it felt kind of funky in the hand. It felt as though the light button should be on the bottom with the fan functions on the top. I feel that most people would use the light more than the fan functions. The remote as a whole could be a lot smaller than it is for its purpose and function.
