Perfect Folding Bench

We were looking for a bench for our mother's bathroom but did want something to take up too much space. Found this bench and it's perfect. It folds away when it's not needed. It's strong and supports a lot of weight. It's stylish and goes really well in our renovated modern bath. Would highly recommend it.

Awaiting for contractor to install the seat. I will provide photos when installed. The wood seat appears to be very nice quality. I did not expect plastic covers for the matte black finish, this reduces the aesthetics to a lesser quality I never considered.. I expected all the hardware to be matte black. I must have overlooked that somewhere in the listing.

Assembly

The way it is assembled does not allow the top three boards to be screwed in place so it’s hard to make sure the same spacing as the seat boards stays in place. Seems very sturdy otherwise but you need to make sure there is solid blocking behind the wall first. Toggle bolts won’t be strong enough to hold heavy weight.

THIS FAILED

My clients just called and said the metal bent and collapsed after less than 4 months of use. This unit is rated for 320 and the client is no where near that weight. We will be filing claim on this manufacturer.

I would recomend to everyone!!!

I tore out an old step into bathtub/shower, and updated it with a walk-in tile shower. MoSt seats look cold, uncomfortable, and would fit right into a geriatric setting. This foldup, shower wall seat is everything I was looking for, including a wonderful price
