It’s a good sturdy roasting pan, but the finish was looking scratched up after the first use. The rack is too small for the pan, my turkey was sliding around whenever I tried to move the pan, and Va I really don’t care for the handles. They are curved in making it difficult to move with a 25 lb. bird. It is heavy enough to make sauces gravy on the stovetop.

This pan is the more expensive Viking roasting pan. Viking makes two almost identical pans. One pan is about twice the money as the other. The more expensive one is the one that has been rated so highly. So, how do we tell the difference? The more expensive pan has 'Viking' boldly molded into SIDE just below the handle, whereas the less expensive pan has 'Viking' molded into the TOP of the handle. Bottom line is; there is a difference in the heftiness and quality of the costlier pan. This one does not come with a knife and fork set.

Exactly what I was looking for and it’s everything I thought it would be. Not a disappointment at all. Love it!

The price is more than I have paid in the past for a roaster, but the quality - overall performance and life of the pan - makes it worth the cost.

This roaster is substantial without being bulky and cumbersome; and, it is as functional as it is beautiful. I roasted a 10-12 lb. turkey in it for Thanksgiving and a 6.5 lb. brisket in it for Chanukah. I have not used it on the stovetop as yet, but I may try a gravy in it soon. The roaster is a nice size for baked pasta dishes, beef roasts of all kinds, whole and spatchcock chicken dishes with rice or vegetables, and more. Versatile and sturdy with excellent, even cooking and great heat retention.

Solid overall roasting pan

Very solid construction, was able to get a beautiful gravy in this pan on the stovetop with the drippings from Thanksgiving turkey. Heavier than you would think, but that is not a bad thing, just be prepared for it. The only knock is that the rack is difficult to clean with lots of nooks and crannies but that is very picky. I would recommend this pan to everyone, period.

This roasting pan is amazing! It’s a very well-made, sturdy, solid, heavy, overall high-quality product. I roasted a 17.5 pound turkey in it for Thanksgiving this year, and it was plenty big enough. It was also the best turkey I’ve ever made. I’m not sure if the roasting pan had anything to do with that, maybe the heavy, solid construction allowed the bird to heat more evenly, I don’t know, but it was simply amazing. The handles are an ingenious design. On my old Cuisinart roasting pan the handles flare out, and though I’ve never had a problem fitting a roasting pan in the oven, I’ve read several reviews by people who have, and specifically because of the handles. Two other nice features - the bottom is a smooth flat surface which works well for making gravy, and the rack is a non-stick rack that makes it much easier to clean. I can’t imagine a higher quality roasting pan than this, especially for the price. I know some will rave about their All-Clad products, but, in my opinion, with All-Clad all you’re really paying for is the name.
