Toto vs American standard bidet seats

Compared to a less expensive TOTO it offered less convenience items. I was compelled to purchase an American standard bidet has no TOTO would fit my eight year old American standard toilet. It was a quality product but was clearly less sophisticated than the TOTO

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I bought this model, because I didn't want to use anything else, it cleans and dries and that was perfect for me. But it doesn't dry properly, it works as much as an old 1990s public bathroom dryer. I contacted the customer service and they told me to read the instruction manual and change the temperature of the dryer. Wow! There are three temperatures, you push the SAME button to change the temperature and there's even a light to tell you which temperature you are at. So no it's not complicated. And yes if you buy this product you will waste your money.

A nice bidet

For our first bidet we wanted something simple without excess bells and whistles. This serves that purpose well.

The functions take a long time to come on compared to a Toto washlet. Stream not as strong either. It gets the job done, but for the price, I’d go with Toto. The night light is a nice feature

Not for me

I am sure it is great, but I never took it out of the plastic and I never used it. It took up way too much of thr toilet seat for my liking. It looked like I lost half the area of the seat to sit down. 🫤

Easy to operate

I have had my bidet for 2 years now. I received it in a package deal when I purchased my Walk-in tub. I was intimidated at first but quickly realized how easy and beneficial it was to use. I highly recommend this product.

This a good product but

This a good product but our hard water in Barrie causes the seat to fail after about a year! Fortunately there is a 3year warrant and American Atandard has always come up with a replacement my warranty expired thus bought a new unit from you.

Buyer beware

The first one had a heater that quit working after a year and a half. They sent a replacement that will not work and have no idea of how to fix it. Their owners manual lack any real information to help fix the issue. Any time you call in for help they don't know anything about the product. They just want to email a copy of the owners manual that is no help.

Not hard to install and works wonderfully well. It also blends in attractively.

The 2.5 Bidet seat was fairly easy to install. If you can read directions and handle a few tools the cost of a plumber would be a waste of money. Also watching a couple of YouTube video's can be very helpful.

This is only the seat!

I am sooooo disappointed, I thought I was ordering the entire toilet with bidet for 700.00 !!!!

What a great buy!!!

I was a little dubious about a bidet that you installed on an existing toilet. But what a great surprise! It was fairly easy to install and has worked great for the 2 weeks I have had it. The heated seat is awesome and the sprayers and blower work so well! The night light is so nice to have, as well. The only thing they should add is a couple of nuts that fit on the bolts that attach it to the toilet. My existing ones didn't fit, but the rubber gaskets hold it on well.

American Standard had to replace after 4 months

This wonderfully amazing beauty was everything I hoped for until one day it just quit working. You have no idea how much you appreciate something until you don't have it any longer. Luckily American Standard replaced it on the first interaction with them. I will definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great Purchase

Loving this spalet bidet seat. Just as good as a complete toilet but I now have just one toilet which I like better. Customer service very helpful and polite.

Advanced clean 2.5 bidet seat

Pricey, but works good. The installation instructions could be better. Tricky to get the rubber anchors in the bowl seat holes, very very tight fit. I used liquid soap and inserted and loosely threaded the bolts first, then using a plastic end hammer tapped in, then went in smoothly. Tricky to adjust front to back adjustment, to get the seat to stay up when not in use and still have the rubber bumpers set correctly when the seat is down. Don’t like having to keep pushing the eco button every 8 hours. It is annoying.

American Standard Advanced Clean 2.5 SpaLet

It was difficult to install the 2 rubber anchors in the toilet bowl until I use dish soap and the screws inserted loosely and tapped screws with plastic end hammer, then went in easy. Tricky to adjust front to back adjustments. Water connections went surprisingly smooth going from brass to plastic threads. The power length worked perfect. The functions worked very well. I wished the air dryer was a little bit more powerful. I installed this on my new American standard pressure assist toilet. Works together pretty good. The seat will stay up when adjusted just right. I love the slow closing seat and top cover.

Best thing since toilets were invented!

This Spalet Bidet Seat is a God Send. It cleans, massages, and drys. You feel so clean afterward and you save on toilet paper! My husband who has mobility problems and arthritis loves it!
