My 90 Year Old Mother-in-law
I bought this and installed it for my 90 year old mother-in-law. She loves it. Matched her polished brass Kohler fixtures. Looks great. Very sturdy. I will buy one for my next mother-in-law.
We love our new Moen polished brass grab bar for our shower. The color and finish are perfect! It matches the brass on our other Moen fixtures in our main bathroom! Thank you so much!!
Many Thanks for still carrying BRASS! It must have been popular when our house was built over thirty years ago. We had to order it online but we don’t mind. We could not find anybody else who even had it available online.
Have not had it long, a few weeks, in the guest bathroom, so hasnt been put to the test, but it feels very sturdy and looks good. Plumber installed it with no problems.
Work great but wouldn't recommend any but slip proof peened finish unless you want to add clear slip proof metal paint yourself.
We had a walk in shower put in to replace a tub/shower combo. Unfortunately, the contractor used non-peened bars because I hadn't mentioned textured ones. When my husband grabbed the angled one after starting to slip, his soapy hands just slid down the bar and he almost fell. I went ahead and ordered 3 peened bars and the contractor came back and took the others out and yours in. I've only found peened bars in this standard style but Slip Doctor makes a clear paint for metal. We used the spray on for acrylics on the bottom of the shower because the so called ADA approved material was so slick my husband took a bad fall the 2nd time he used it. The contractor put on one coat when he changed out the bars and I added a second.
Terrific support bar for a shower or tub !
This support/handicap bar works perfect for holding on to. We made sure it was in a stub, and it a tough, sturdy hold. The bar has a gripping material so hands don't slip. Excellent safety.

Excellent In Every Way
This was easy to install...as long as you know where your stud/beams are. We happened to have had our shower remodeled and done right down to the beams. So it was even easier for the contractor to mark where these were needed. I bought tow of them. They get fastened to the wall with sturdy screws and can hold quite a bit of weight/pressure. We have it set on one wall of the shower and another one on the door side of the shower. These bars make it so much easier to get in and out of the shower.
Quality, must-have item, life saver item, beautiful
This Grab Bar helped me feel safer while taking shower, definitely an game changing item, i think everyone should have this grab bar to help us to avoid any slipping while taking shower. High quality, shiny, beauty design, easy to install, highly recommended. Love to buy this product in the future when needed.

I bought the 32 inch bar for horizontal installation on studs. I was hesitant because other reviews complained about the screws being unusable. I was able to do the installation using the supplied screws but it took a few tricks because the screws are fine threaded, not coarse and sharp like deck screws, and have a small Philips head (much smaller recess in deck screws) that's easy to strip. Here's what I recommend to make them work: 1) Pre-drill all 6 mounting holes a bit more than FULL shank depth. If you shallow drill you'll never be able to tighten the screws 2) If possible use a 5/64 drill bit. If you don't have this size use the recommended 1/8 but drill each hole twice; this will enlarge them slightly 3) Find a really good hand Philips screwdriver that precisely matches the small slot size of the supplied screws with the largest diameter handle possible - you will need to apply a LOT of torque by hand (do NOT use a drill with a screwdriver bit...you will strip the heads, guaranteed) 4) Apply a little soap or candle wax to the screw threads before installing (reduces friction) 5) Don't snug down any screws until all are installed and mostly seated. Once all are close, snug them all down tight (you don't want to snag a thread on the flange) 6) Go slow. Even following the prior steps you will need some real muscle to fully tighten the screws both to turn the screwdriver handle and simultaneously apply down force to keep the bit seated in the screw head. Take a break if needed. Once installed it's really solid and looks great. I bought the "peened" finish...great choice.

Summary: Adding a few grab bars to dad's shower. I used a lot of products for this project, so including all related products in this review. Recommendation: 1) When mounting grab bars, it's always easier if you can find the stud to attach to. In this vertical install, I decided to use a stud and Wing-Its anchors; partially because I wasn't sure I could hit both, and didn't want to put two fasteners vertically (on either the right or left only), but that would also position the bar in the shower a little too far in (towards the shower control). 2) The WingIts requires a 3/4" hole through the mounting material. For tile, this can be especially challenging. I used the SHDIATOOL diamond 3/4" bit, with the DRILLAX adapter to get through the tile, and then used the 3/4" BOSCH bit to finish through the dry wall. Also used the BOSCH bits for the other small hole. Having the right tool for the job is the difference between project completion, and a messy, disaster. My mother-in-law was arriving from Arizona (she is 93!) to our new place in New Hampshire during the summer. In a panic, we raced off to purchase the needed safety hardware to accommodate the "what-if's".

This Moen Grab Bar is the perfect safety bar for my bathtub. Sturdy, easy to install, exact right size and great polished silver finish. Purchased two. One positioned vertically as one enters the tub for a more stable entry/exit and one diagonally along the back wall to assist with mobility. Extremely satisfied with this purchase.

sturdy, easy to install
I installed two 24" grab bars in a relative's tub/shower area. The white color matches the tiles & blends in nicely without looking like stainless steel "hospital" grab bars. There were no studs to install these bars onto in the areas where they needed to be placed, so I used 3 heavy-duty drywall anchors for each end of the bars & they're very sturdy. My relative likes them very much and feels much safer while showering.

Let's grab bar blends right in with our tips around never knew it would be so attractive. I just installed a new tub surround and made sure I supplied strong backing boards to anchor this too. My wife has had a bad back issue and appreciate the ability to get in and out of the tub safely

The peened finish gives you something to grip that isn't slick. They are a hefty size and easy to grab. Installation can be a bit of a bear in a tub with tile, but if you know what you are doing you will be ok. Fortunately my husband knew what he was doing. I love them and they give me a lot more confidence when entering and exiting the tub and while showering. A recent back surgery made me a little unsteady and these solved the problem.

I shopped around trying to find a brushed nickel grab bar which wasnt too think, wasnt shiny and had the texture so it wasnt slick. One I got was too thick and though it was stainless steel (brushed nickel finish), it still appeared glossy. The peening/texture was odd and more pronounced. This one was just the right thickness, easy to install and a matte finish; the texture blends in with overall bathroom look and isnt distracting. Very nice, quality product and I expect it to last well. Thanks, Moen!
