I live alone, so I don't need to worry too much about there being a large load.on the system, but I have found that even if I run the dishwasher at the same time as taking a shower, there is plenty of hot water to go around. Such a relief to finally be free of my huge, gas-hungry water tank heater! I'm never looking back. My one piece of advice for potential buyers is to install it as close to your electrical panel as possible. The heavy-gauge wire it requires is ungodly expensive, so save yourself literally hundreds of dollars by running as little of it as possible. Even if you end up having to run a few extra meters worth of pex to connect the water heater to your house plumbing system, it will be worth it in the end.

Installed 2 units for a 2-family property, water temperature is just right for bathing and having them on the wall frees up floor space in the basement. Very pleased so far.

With the facet I have in bathroom, I can’t fill tub as water runs too fast to heat it. Have to use shower to fill tub to give it time to heat up. Otherwise love this tankless unit. So much more space in my service closet now.

Home Depot sold this for about a third of what the plumber wanted. I had to wait several days for delivery, which I thought was unreasonable. The heater works well, although I had to call the manufacturer when it wouldn't start. They resolved the problem in a few minutes.

Good but not oerfect

The Steibel website had a use calculator which said the Tempra 20 could handle 1 Shower and 1 faucet. When the flow rate approached 2.5 gals the water went cool, no where near the 125 degrees I set it to. I should have upsized to the Tempra 24!

This is well built. Appears to be of quality materials. I installed this only a week ago, it is working well. Easy to adjust temperature. Hundreds of parameters you can set, I just adjust the temperature and ignore the rest. It makes water as hot as I want.

The Stiebel Eltron Tempra 20 was easy to install and has worked just fine so far. It has only been a few weeks, but my previous experience with a demand water heater was very good, and I think this one may be even better.

I would buy this product again.

Seems like the best tankless electric available

I'm using this as a booster after my heat pump hot water heater for when it runs out of hot water. It works well in this application. It does not seem to be affected by preheated water going through it or the hot water circulation pump going through it.

I have owned this same unit for a year & bought this one for my sister-in-laws home. My son (a licensed electrician) & I installed it. The only difference I see with mine, is I have a digital readout on the temperature setting. The installation was simple and easy.

I love my tankless water heater

The guys at Supplyhouse were really helpful to me choosing my tankless hot water heater. I got this unit for my whole house to replace my gas 40 gallon water heater. It has worked great and we don't run out of hot water. I didn't have any problems. I did call the heater help line to ask a electrical question. It does not wire to the neutral bar, just to the breakers, 4 wires two double pole 40 breakers. It worked the first time I used it!
