It is a horrible product don't buy it

On New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024, my shower stopped working again while I was using it before bed. This issue has occurred multiple times, and it’s been incredibly frustrating. I paid over $800 in August 2023 to buy it, and it worked for about six months. Since then, it has started failing during use. Even when I manually turn it back on, it stops working again after less than 10 minutes. The situation is absolutely horrible.

Second Unit only lasted a Year and a half!!!

First unit failed after 3 years. Received and installed a refurbished unit from the Stiebel Eltron. They sent a refurbished unit that only lasted a year and a half. Followed all recommended install practices, installed a sediment filter on the unit, maintained our home's water softener, and flushed the unit, but it still failed. I'm begging you, do not buy one of these. You will be money in the bank if you buy a traditional electric water heater.

In the middle of a shower and the water gets cold real cold for about 3 min and then gets hot again

not recommended for most residential areas.

Although this seems like the way to go, I ordered this figuring it would be perfect for the Basement suite that I'm putting in. Ordered it, my contractor took a look at it and informed me that most serviced residential homes do not have enough amps going to them to be able to run this as well as everything else in your home, for a commercial lot it would be fine. That the service to the home would need to be upgraded, which is an even bigger expense. So beware as to whether you're able to use this.

I was replacing a Tempra 24 after 10 years and...

I was replacing a Tempra 24 after 10 years and went up to a Tempra 36 Trend. So far it gives much hotter water because I can adjust the thermostat up to 140 degrees. I keep it on 132 degrees and I feel the dishes are cleaner and more sanitary than when I was limited to 125 degrees with my old mode.

made the right choice

I am very happy with this Steibel tankless electric water heater. It cranks out all the hot water we can demand of it and just keeps on going. No hiccups from this one, great product!

wish we had gotten one long ago

So far very happy with it, and love gaining the space where the big clunky old heater used to be. Came highly recommended by my electrician and plumber.

far better than the titan

Only had it 2 days, but its far better than the Titan I had that failed after 5 years. The flow rate is much greater and the water is hotter than the Titan.
