Solid-made widespread handleset!

If you are looking for an upgrade to a bathroom fixture make sure that you purchase based on the distance between your handles. This is a widespread handleset and as such won't look very nice on any countertop that is more than 10 years old. I went through all the steps to set it up to the point of lining up the handles and quickly discovered I was out of room and they were 'too close' to the faucet.This will absolutely be installed as part of my bathroom renovation in future as it is very well-made and hefty. What I like most about the faucet is it is taller. I find that most bathroom faucets are so low that it makes washing my face or doing much beyond splashing water around is made difficult because it is so low. This makes the sink area very open and easy to navigate without it feeling 'tight'.Install was a breeze up until the point I realized I was out of room :) This would be a very easy swap-out for any average wrench... just make sure you've shut the water off first! Pro tip: As I have replaced the taps in our home, I have always installed simple shut-off valves to make life simple in the future. Less

Was shorter than I thought but that is on me. One faucet had a scratch on it which we had to cover up with black market but otherwise nice.

Nice faucet but not renovation friendly.

I got this faucet for a remodeling project, hoping to update a dated bathroom. I was disappointed to find that it was not renovation friendly. It does not come with an escutcheon adapter plate but requires that the installation location has a single center hole and separate widespread holes for the handles. It will not fit in a standard 3 hole faucet location. The stopper mechanism is cable driven and proprietary to the faucet and not compatible with the standard stopper. So if you want to be able to use the stopper mechanism you must use the one included in the box. Lastly the faucet is in a fixed position and does not pivot. The fit and finish overall is quite nice, the handles have smooth action and feel to be good quality and durable.

Great quality beautiful faucet sleek

Beautiful design and top quality faucet

This faucet is beautiful! A classic modern design that will fit in with many design aesthetics. It came packaged securely with care to wrapping so there were no scratches or damage. Waiting on a countertop to install but very excited to see how it looks. Will update with a picture once complete. It’s very good quality- something I’d expect from American Standard. This line really elevates their product designs. The weight was surprisingly heavy. Taps turn easily dry, but No blue/red cold/hot markings (something to consider if you have kids ), and may cause issue with soapy or slippery hands as they do not have much to grip except the indents in each handle. The higher faucet height is appreciated though, leaving room to fill a glass for example. Instructions include pictures and are very easy to read. What I liked most is that the tap and two faucets are separate, so if you are using an existing 3 hole sink (as I will be) there is no question the spacing will work. Definitely recommend. Less

Simple and Clean Design

Overall good bathroom faucet, simple and clean design. I'm not a fan of the drain open and closing mechanisms as I've had issues with these mechanisms on other faucets in the past. Also, because the lever is behind the neck of the faucet it can be problematics to clean if you don't have enough space. Time will tell if this one has issues going forward. Also, this bathroom faucet requires that you have both a left and right handle opening holes in your bathroom sink vanity. Because the neck on this faucet is a bit high you get plenty of clearance underneath in the sink basin to run your hands but I would not use this faucet if you have a high bowl. Install wasn't too bad as long as you have the right tools and adequate space to work under the vanity.

Nice simple styling

I like the simple styling of this tap set, although it would not be appropriate for someone with a weak grip as the handle is a simple cylinder with one shallow indentation. I particularly like the system for the drain assembly. It goes together easily with no need to fiddle with levers and rods to adjust, perfect pop up first time.The installation was straight forward, but I did have problems with the tail piece leaking where it threads into the upper sink piece. It seems that the gasket provide would not seal completely. I had to put pipe thread compound on the tail piece threads which cured the leak.One issue we found, for us with hard water, was leaving spots on the chrome after washing our hands. If you turn the tap off while your hands are wet the water runs down the stub handle and if not dried off will leave a water spot. Unlike a tap set with a lever handle that you can turn off with the back of your hand with wet hands.One of the handles was much stiffer than the other, to the point where it was near impossible to turn, however I called the 1- 800 phone number provided on the installation guide and was immediately sent a new cartridge and handle at no charge to me. Shipping was quick even though it was through the Christmas season.The quality of the tap set seems good and customer service was pleasant and quick. Less

High Quality & Definitely Surpasses The Standard

This unit was a great addition to my main floor Power Room. I have a Calacatta style countertop and under mount sink which matched perfectly with this setup. Right from the box I could feel the quality. Usually other taps are made up of light guage metals and a lot of plastic. This American Standard fixture is quite heavy and with little to no plastic found. The angle of the tap itself is perfect for washing hands and the pressure flow through the tap was great.Installation of the unit was also very straight forward and easy. The same sized hole saw for the tap portion can be used for the handles. The box included a brass "T" require to attach the left and right knobs to the spout. This is sometimes missing from other products. The box included an installation wrench which helped me out since there was not a lot space between the undermount sink and the vanity box.I rate this a 10/10 unit for style, quality, finish, and performance. Less

Overall very good quality but can improve design

Overall very good product. I will base my review in 3 characteristics:1. Quality: Very good quality of the product. The faucet, drain and handles are very solid (not plastic) and you can tell that it will last long.2. Easy to connect: Very easy to connect even if you have no previous experience, installation guide is very clear and all the components connects very easily with minimum effort. Also it didn't leak at all after being connected the first time.3. Design: This Lavatory Faucet is meant for Studio's so I think the design is simple and nice. However I was not amaze with the handles design. They are straight and difficult to turn on/off because of the design. It becomes more difficult if you have soap in your hands because there is no really a grabbing point, you need to really grab tide with your hand to be able to turn on/off. The design also comes with separate handles so if you have stone countertops you need to plan according because you will need 3 holes instead of the standard one that only needs one.Overall very good but not a big fan of the design. Less

Very professional and high quality faucet

The faucet shipped quickly and is packaged well. I was holding off writing a review until I had the faucet installed, but unfortunately trade and supply delays have pushed the completion of my bathroom renovation and the installation of my new faucet out two months later than expected.I will update my review and include photos of the installed faucet once it's complete!The faucet does seem to be great quality and all required parts appear to be in the box. The finish of the faucet is very solid and professional, and I expect will look very high-end with my new vanity. I can't wait to see it installed!

Unique mid-high end faucet

Great mid-high range faucet. This came with everything for install. It only took about 15 minutes to install. I like the sleek handles. There very different from any other design out there. The taps operate very smooth. I also find it to be a bit more hygienic just because there less little crevices in the handles. A lot of friends comment on it.

Elegant Design

This faucet is extremely well built. Very few plastic or cheap materials used in its construction. Even the drain assembly is built out of quality materials, something most other faucets out there lack. The instructions provided are very straight forward and easy to follow. Pair that with majority of the parts being pre-assembled and the installation is a breeze. No digging around in a bag of parts searching for the corresponding washers/fasteners in the instructions. The handles seem to function fine and am hoping they will stand up with use. If I was to order this faucet again I would probably go with a lever style handle over this one. The installation of the spout was a little tricky as you are already working in a restricted space and the washer/grommet constantly slips around when trying to tighten the nut underneath. I think this is the only area of improvement for this faucet. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their existing hardware. Less

Quality Components with tricky ergonomics

This is a really well made faucet with high quality components. It's built very well and is certainly made to last. The materials are great with lots of metal and brass, thick seals and much less plastic than cheaper faucets so it operates very well and installs easily. It does feel like a well made faucet all around. I love the neck on the spout and think it looks great in our bathroom. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is the ergonomics are a bit strange. With wet hands it's a bit tricky to turn the water on or off as you have to rotate the small dials and theres nothing to grab onto like a lever or other knobs. I would not recommend this faucet for families with kids, otherwise it's a great look, well made quality faucet.

Great Looking Modern Faucet

The American Standard Studio S widespread 2-handle bathroom faucet is a fine product, with solid construction and a great looking finish. Makes a big difference in dated bathrooms with older hardware and completely changes the look in a positive way.

Eye-catching

You must hold it in your hands to appreciate how elegant this faucet set is. The most eye-catching parts are the handles. They are smooth when you turn even for old people with weak hands. Unfortunately they are not suitable for people with hand disabilities.They come in three colors. The black is ideal for those looking focus the users' attention to the faucet.Self-installation is easy with the instruction guide provided.My only recommendation for HomeDepot is to have a demo unit in store so potential buyers can see and touch it in person.

Well built modern tap!

Love the sleek modern look. Very simplistic!As home owners and landlords we come across many designs and handling this particular tap we can feel the amazing build and quality!Install was simple like any bathroom tap but the drain was more complicated to make it a removable drain, the instructions helped but also could be a bit clearer as we had to read them at least 4 times to figure out what we were doing wrong. Finally we got it so the drain would pop up and down. Our old tap actually took longer to remove, then it was to install this new one as we ended up having to remove the whole sink just to get the old one off. The tool that was included to tighten the handles to the sink would be very useful if your sink wasn’t removed.We notice a few things we may or may not like over time…. The simple handles are easy to use but may be harder to grasp or turn if someone has mobility issues with their hands, compared to lever ones.Also when you turn the tap off with wet hands it causes the water to pool at base of handles (pic attached) unlike a lever style, that has minimal water pooling.All in all the design is beautiful and sleek, the actual function of the faucet is smooth and very solid, rich feel to it. We’ve been actually changing fixtures to American standard more and more as the other big name brand keeps failing us from past installs. Less

Looks Great, Works Great, Simple Install

For a bathroom faucet, this is the trifecta. If you like the modern look, then you can't go wrong here. From mounting the valves and the faucet to connecting the (supplied) lines, this took me (maybe) 10 minutes. What I like best, however, is the feel when you use it. The valves feel like turning a high-quality rheostat. .The handles move smoothly great water flow but, if I'm being honest, I just love the look. It just feels quality

Great product yet pricey for matte black.

Very well made. The are better than expected and heavy. Installation was a breeze withe the rapid connectors. A bit pricey however for the matte black which is my only complaint.

Fast shipping, looks great, works well. I had a plumber install so I can't speak to the ease of installation but I didn't hear him cursing under his breath so I take that as a good sign :)

Sink is horrible

It leaks everywhere literally wont stop
