Purchase 2 of these units over 2 years ago and I am still extremely happy with the look, performance and functionality. Well worth it for keeping a mixed wine collection safe!

Home Depot delivery did not assemble handles on Summit 160-bottle...

Home Depot delivery did not assemble handles on Summit 160-bottle D-zone cellar. We are still waiting since 4/17/20, for someone to arrive & install a handle on our wine cellar. The hinge also needs to be switched to left side. Cellar looks nice, chilling well for 10 days now.

We bought the predecessor to this model, the 1965 in August of 2014. It failed January 2020. Five years and five months after the parts warranty. The issue is a Freon leak. This is due to a sloppy production process that has essentially built in planned obsolescence to the unit. We were quoted $700 plus parts to repair it. Obviously makes sense to buy a new unit...but not a Summit, for sure!

disappointing, got what I paid for

If you consider 7.5 inches adequate distance for drawer to pull out then you won't be disappointed. However, that is not enough to see the bottles in the back. description led me to believe that drawers would expose more. Not what I was looking for. Otherwise, fit and finish are good. Drawers themselves don't really cradle the bottles. If shelf not full, bottles will tend to roll around. It will do the job, but I know there are better. For the price it isn't a bad value. I was hoping for better

This wine fridge is being used to store beer, and it has removable wooden slats to allow for vertical storage. The slats slightly bend under the greater weight of the beer, but it is not a big issue. Do note that the larger bottom zone must be a higher or equal temp to the top.
