Great tankless water heater. I've had this brand before and they are excellent. Very quiet noise wise and great performance so far. Lowes had an outstanding price on this unit and even though my old tankless was still working I could not pass on the price.

Good product. Employee was very helpful.

First one did not fit my needs. Returned it, hassle free, with the help of an employee, was able to order a new one. So far so good. Working fine. Need to make a couple adjustments, but working fine.

Made the switch years ago

I have not installed this unit yet for a customer but I have installed the same unit for other people. They are a breeze to install and hook up. Customers rave how good they are and wish they had a lot sooner.

Runs flawless

Been using this water heater for a little over three years. No problems whatsoever. Run vinegar through it once a year as the directions call for to keep it in top shape. Highly recommended

Rinnai...high quality, efficient tankless heaters

First experience with a tankless heater. Install requires more time and materials vs the regular tank type, thus higher labor costs. Unit in use for 1 month, with 1 minor complaint. As noted in other reviews, it does takes about 30 sec or so before water begins to warm. Once hot, it's endless HOT water. Excellent price with lowes discount, under $850. Note, the protection plan Lowes offers, is only a labor warranty (4 yrs)after the manufacture warranty expires. I don't believe any parts are covered. Rinnai is one of the top brands in tankless heaters...only time will tell !

Hire a plumber if you don't know anything...

As long as you are adept at reading and understanding the installation instructions, including the pipe length and the number of bend "elbows" calculations for the venting, to adhere to code, you should be fine. The cost of all the support piping is astronomical at this time but was still less than hiring an overpriced plumber to do the work. Beyond that, I love the fact that we will never run out of hot water and don't need the water heater tank to "recharge" before using it again. It performs beyond expectations.

Very easy install. As far as other people’s complaints about how long the hot water takes to get to the tap i havent noticed a diffence between the tank and tankless. Im not sure why this is sold as a 6.5 gpm unit and comes with a sticker on it that says 3.6 gpm. But im still satisfied with it after a week of hot water

Nice Unit

These work great but really also need a Recirculation pump in the system. When we installed one in my FIL's home, I added a recirculation pump to the plumbing. This means adding a bypass circuit with a sensor to the farthest sink, but it's well worth it. The way I have it set up is that during preset times of the day, the Recirculation Pump activates every so often to push hot water through the house so that hot water is readily available.

Very satisfied with the purchase. Installed fairly easy, I have had it about 4 months now and please with the performance.

Great hot water heater

Pros: Very efficient, works great, takes ALOT less room in the garage. Cons: Much more complicated to install then the tank hot water heater it replaced. Having to flush it yearly might be a bit of a pain. Seams to be a very well-made unit.

Tankless Water Heaters do NOT save $$$

It takes more than :45 to get warm and it's only 8' from the sink. I'm finished washing my hands before it warms. Makes it more wasteful than a tank water heater and, we have to wait every time if we want hot water. I own 3 Rinnai's - all are the same.

Excellent unit, works as expected

Very nice unit, it heats up quite quickly. Silent operation and works as expected. Really nice improvements from my 20 year old "generation 1" tankless hot water heater. The condensing exhaust is really impressive. The installation took a few more trips to the local hardware store than I expected, due to my poor skill in soldering pipe joints. That's not the fault of Rennai.

This works well, but the listing previously had the "Uniform Energy Factor" stated as .90 when it is really .85 and because of the incorrect listing I was unable to get my state's energy efficiency rebate after the plumber already installed it, so I'm out $700. Other than that it operates well and never runs out of hot water for a 1 bathroom apartment. Without being able to receive a rebate, it is not all that good for the price.

It takes 30 seconds for hot water to reach the tap using the shower or anywhere in our house, we are wasting water not happy about about this, I did call and they suggested to turn the tap full which I have done from the beginning does not help
