Great lamp!

I love this lamp. Its so unique and is so reasonably priced. I needed a lamp with a very long chain and cord. I was so happy to find this exceeded my needs. I had a slight problem with my order and they took care of it right away.

Beautiful

Beautiful light fixture. Not the main source of lightning, lights bounced off the glass panes.

I’d buy it again!

First off...MERCURY GLASS is perfectly IMPERFECT! To expect anything more is not knowing the true and natural beauty of the material. This is a work of art. Excellent craftsmanship! Took my master bath to another level!!

Pretty, but flexible

I like it but am glad we won't be touching it much. It bends out of shape very easily.

If you need light, this is not the one

Love the look as long as you don’t turn on the light. The glass has something over it that you cannot remove. After the long struggle of waiting for the light to come because it was back ordered, putting it up w/o any instructions, then to turn it on and see the film and blemishes all over the light it made me angry that I had wasted so much time. I do have to compliment Build.com for their refund process... now it get it back in the box is another feat!

Good customer service. Problematic lampshade

I ordered this chandelier for my kitchen on Cyber Monday...then set that project aside to dedicate my time and money to holiday shopping. Sine I used also some credit cards at Christmas I waited until I paid those debts before hiring an electrician to hang the fixture. I thought it looked really nice until I turned the lights on. What I saw was...schmutz dripping down the glass. On more than one panel. Then I noticed a scratch. I was so disappointed! I reached out to Build.com via their chat feature and asked how to clean Mercury Glass. Diluted glass cleaner. I used Method. Ammonia free, biodegradable ingredients. It didn't come off. I felt it made me seem like a negligent housekeeper who had, I don't know, something which looks like diluted white shoe polish, dripping down her chandelier. I contacted Customer Service, sending them pictures of the defect and my installation receipt (I had possessed the fixture for over four months by this point and wanted to demonstrate it had just come out of the box). They reminded me that Mercury Glass is double walled glass subject to imperfections; but due to the scratch they would send me a replacement and return mailing label to send mine back. I simply changed out the shade with the help of my sister, turned on the light and stepped back. Well, this one has less schmutz, two hairline scratches close together, and panes clearly blown by different glass manufacturers ...which I tell myself lends itself to looking more "hand-crafted" overall. It was a toss up, but I decided to keep the second shade (turning the scratched panel toward the wall). It was easy to insert the original shade back into the second fixture's packaging, and send it back. I chalk this up to a not so great outcome. The chandelier is pretty when unlit...and I figure over time, the flaws won't matter to me as much. Less

5 Stars

This light fixture is even prettier than it is in the picture! Absolutely gorgeous addition to our new dining room. The mercury glass is very elegant and looks especially beautiful when the light is on. Very happy with the purchase!

poor quality

I ordered this light for my dining room. The glass looks smudged, like the glue or whatever they used to attached the panes of glass to each other is smeared on different areas of the glass. I could not clean it off at all. It looks ok when the light is off, but not good at all with with light on. Not happy at all with this purchase.

Beautiful, unique fixture

Working with Lighting New York was a breeze. They honored a generous discount and offered free shipping (and returns, but I didn't need to return my item). Shipping was very fast, and I couldn't be more pleased with their customer service. The mercury glass is beautiful, and the light casts a gorgeous pattern on the ceiling The frame around the glass panes does seem a little delicate; take care when unboxing
