Like the look, shade a bit troublesome & symmetry
Bought it in Buckeye Bronze finish. Stem is heavy good quality. It was problematic getting the shade to hang straight...if the threaded bulb socket not straight, then shade snugs up crooked when tightening screw ring that holds shade in place (the big prongs above shade are decorative only, nothing hangs from those). Biggest issue is the optical illusion of shade asymmetry...there are only 3 prongs above the shade. The catalog photo is shot dead on showing only 2 prongs, with 3rd hidden behind stem. However, when viewed at another other angle, an optical illusion makes it appear that the shade is not centered on the stem. If the design had 4 equally spaced prongs, this would probably be less likely to happen. The top of shade cylinder is open, so there is uplight from this fixture (was impossible to tell this ahead of time from the specs). The stem does have a hinge point up near the mounting plate that allows fixture to hang plumb if you have a sloped ceiling. Shade is typical lampshade material with linen type fabric on white plastic inner liner. There is visible vertical seam on outside of shade. If I'd known about the optical illusion of shade asymmetry, probably would not have bought this fixture. I bought it to replace similar scale 1960s chain-hung entry foyer light, so the install location is a focal point..
