We got our new ceiling fan remote when the original started malfunctioning--changes in fan speed, the light coming on in the middle of the night. The remote was over three years old when we replaced it with a new remotes. Problem solved.

This was a replacement remote for my ceiling fan. It is the exact same one I had before...that got thrown away.

There was apparently no way to connect to our existing fan.

After purchasing the wrong model from a different online seller, which might have been my fault but the description was hard to follow, I got the right one for less at Home Depot. Easy to set up and works much better than the cheap remote that cam with the fan. I can tell this one will last much longer too.

Minka 1800 C/S told me this would be compatible with my controller. It is not. Had to return it.

I needed a new remote to replace the one I lost. This was not it, even tho it looked like it was the one, but I will order another one to replace.

I haven’t tried this out yet. The code in the receiver must match the code on the fan which requires a ladder. I’m 72 and don’t get on ladders so I’m waiting until someone stops by who will get on a ladder and see what the fan code is. I’m sure it will work fine when it is setup correctly.

Although recommended by Ray Electric…it did not work; I.e.,was wrong choice, the manufacturer recommended RCS213, which I bought and it worked. Hate the fact that I can not return it

Upgrade your old Minka fans

huge improvement over the remote that came with my fans when I bought them 17 years ago. The fans are great, still, but their remotes were always a bit on the funky side. This newer model is so much better.

Remote replacement for ceiling fan

On second attempt we received the correct remote for our ceiling fan. It would be helpful to have model numbers provided for which remotes “match/pair frequencies” with the types/brands of fans.
