This thing was so xxxing heavy, it was all I could do to get it up on my porch. Never again.

Excellent little a/c unit for my office that has no ventilation at all. I got creative with the install as I don’t have an outside window that opens so I went through a wall but works so well. And it is quiet.

Package arrived 4 days early and setup was easy.. cooled off room quickly and did it's job..

Awful, bulky, heavy. Pictures are not representative of item. Doesn’t come in a full box so returning is a nightmare.

Cools the bedroom down quickly, dual speed fan could be 3-speed for better control. Dehumidifier mode made the room much cooler without added power drain. Definitely needed the 5 gallon bucket as it pulled that much moisture from the one room in a 16 hour period. Remote control very helpful in the middle of the night as it actually became too cold and needed to change fan speed, mode from A/C to dehumidifier and I didn't have to get out of bed to do it.

This works as I hoped it would. I hope it lasts a long time. It can really work to cool a space. It get very cold.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before selecting the TURBRO 6,000 BTU portable A/C unit to cool a 375 square foot studio. True to what other reviewers reported, the TURBRO is relatively quiet. When we turned it on full power to cool a very hot studio, the cool air was felt immediately and it was considerable quieter than a sleeve A/C unit I use for a different space. Set up was easy enough for me (52 yo female) and my college age daughter to do fairly quickly. Most challenging part was to trim the sliding piece that installs in the window as it was too wide for the window we were placing it in. Even that was fairly easy... scored with a utility knife and finished cutting with a hacksaw. The unit does not produce a lot of water and does not contain an internal receptacle for water. It just needs to be drained periodically via the external port where you can attach the hose that is included. If desired, the hose can be left on and used to empty into an outside container, but depending on the humidity of the environment, it may not be necessary to have the hose permanently attached. We have been using the TURBRO for several weeks and are very happy with it. The unit turns off when the desired temperature is reached and cycles back on as needed. It is an attractive unit and the controls are intuitive and easy to use. We were able to use it immediately upon setting it up. We did follow the instructions to leave the unit upright for the specified number of hours before turning it on. Overall very happy as the product has met and even exceeded expectations.

my house is 87 degrees right now, probably hotter upstairs where i have this unit. when i close the door to my master and turn this unit on it only takes a few minutes to cool down the whole room and it stays cool. also dehumidifies well.

It's my first time having a portable AC. I've been using it for three days already. It cools fine when it feel like 100 degrees. I put a cooler behind it to drain the water daily. What I like is that you can use the water that comes out the AC, to water plants and even maybe boil the water to drink it.

Defective Unit

The Air Conditioner has awesome cooling....but I got a defective unit. It was making weird noises right from the start. I followed all directions and doubled checked every step and the noise would get louder. Then I could hear water dropping inside the unit. All within 1 hour of using it. I drained the back of the unit and water spilled out. I had only used it for the first time and it had not even been one hour. The unit was sweating after 3 hours of use and it was a 70 degree day. Returned!

Doesn't work

There's only one problem with my AC and one problem only - it doesn't work.

Surprisingly great portable room air conditioner (but the LED display lights are too *$#%@ bright!!)

Works very well. Much better than I expected (especially from a Chinese company). Installation was not super easy however, but not bad either. Just don't expect it to be done in 10 minutes. But once it was set up, it's worked perfectly all summer long.

Only works for 15 minutes and then blows hot air. Filters are all cleaned regularly. Definitely dont recommended
