Delivered dented & can’t return

I love the fridge. Unfortunately it was delivered with 2 very large dents in the front door. Lowe’s said if I wanted to return it I had to take it to a store. It’s laughable to expect a disabled woman to return a huge fridge to a store. I paid for delivery for a reason!

[Rewarded Review] Very nice

I went into this fridge with an open mind. I have always been that person who thinks I need to buy brand name, but that hasn’t been working well for me recently. I got this fridge to replace a 2 year old fridge that has already quit working. The fact that it has a retro feel to it is so fun for me. It fits me and my personality and quite frankly, I love the look as it’s what I grew up with. It arrived on time with zero issues. I was lucky and my delivery guy was willing to put it wherever I wanted it. It fit through a standard door with no issues and I even had a smidge of room on either side (I did remove the box and packing outside). I am an average sized, 5’8 female and I had no problems getting this on my appliance dolly and bringing it through the door by myself. It’s heavy, don’t get me wrong, but in the grand scheme of fridges, it was lighter than most. It turned out to be taller than I had envisioned which is not a bad thing at all, it will prevent me from piling junk on top of the fridge which is a good thing. As I unpacked all the shelves and such I did struggle to get the shelves and the drawer out. I found that the doors did not open quite far enough to make that an easy task. The flat shelves I ended up pulling out as far as I could and then I had to tip them to an angle to completely pull them out. The drawer was more of a challenge and honestly was very frustrating. If the doors would have completely opened, all the way out, it would have been way easier. As it is, you have push and squeeze the rubber seals/edges out of the way while trying to pull the drawer out. Tough with only two hands so if you have help it might be easier. You are limited on shelf placement. There is basically one option give or take an inch. I generally like more flexibility in shelf placement (I have a big family and buy a lot of warehouse size products). Warehouse sized products fit in the doors, but I had more difficulty fitting them onto the shelves due to height of the bottles. Smaller products were fine, but bigger items were confined to door space. The doors held gallon size, 2L size, warehouse size with no issues. We don’t drink so the wine rack is not important to me, but it does hold a 1L or a larger size bottle of sparkling water just as well. I didn’t have one on hand so I used my bagels for size reference. The door shelves were easy to take out and put back in. I actually really like how they hook into place and it makes them easy to take out to wash. I tried freezing some cookie dough to make sure it froze properly before loading meat into it and it worked just as expected. I left a fridge temp gauge in overnight and my fridge was set at 37 and the temp gauge read 38, but I take that as accurate. Freezer makes little ice cubes, which is fine. I would prefer larger ones so they don’t melt as fast, but that is just preference and not an issue with the fridge. The color description was very accurate, looks just like a marshmallow. The trim was well done, feels solid, well protected. Speaking of protected, every piece of this fridge had that sticky cellophane cling on it. That’s all fine and good, but I think it was cellophaned and then assembled so expect to spend some time picking it out of the seams. The doors and drawers open/close/slide very smooth. Overall I am happy with the look and size of this fridge. I docked a star for the sticky cling I had to pick out of all the seams and for the difficulty in removing the shelves and drawer. I found it easy to move and it looks great. I like it enough that I will be looking into the matching appliances in this family of products. I can easily recommend this product.

[Rewarded Review] Retro art

The Unique Appliance Classic Retro refrigerator is a piece of retro art. It utilizes all the retro aspects of rounded corners, fins in the handles, and just the look of nostalgia. The shelves are actual glass and metal, the door trays are plastic, as are the freezer trays. Stuff I didn’t like out the refrigerator The ice maker is hidden and takes up some room in the freezer. There is no water filter or drinking water outlet. You also CAN NOT REMOVE THE LEFT DOOR. I have narrow doorways in my home and needed to remove the doors to fit it where I wanted it. The freezer door and right door can be removed but there are 2 wires in the left door (no clue what they’re there for) so it can’t be removed. It’s a nice looking refrigerator, all the finishes are perfect, the chrome looks great.
