Beautiful medicine cabinet (we have ours outside mounted with the extra kit), but not soft close. For this price and brand I didn’t expect the doors to slam upon closing, which is jarring when it’s a mirror. There is a similar, more expensive version of this that is soft close.

For the low price of $350, this is a beautiful cabinet!

Please... can you tell me whether I can order one of the maginfying mirrors to attach to this medicine cabinet after the fact? I too thought that it would come with the 'fold away' mirror and it did not.. could I order one to be installed on my mirrored medicine cabinet? (model 99010 Verdura 30 X 40 inch) Thank you! Peg

I have another cabinet of this type but smaller, and this is exactly what I wanted it to be. The large door is large, so users will just need to be careful with it. The cabinet is sleek and sturdy and the recess mount just adds to the nice design, if you can do it. I'm really happy. This is a spendy model but I've looked and not found anything comparable.

It's huge and spacious. Its a huge medical cabinet along with mirrors. Saves ton of storage space that we had been struggling with. Also a great space saver. I don't think this can be installed on our own. Contractor installed the cabinet during a bathroom renovation. Overall, very good product. Inside is also mirrored and does the job very well. Need some additional parts to be ordered - these people could have included for the cost we are paying for the product.

I love this mirror! Its nice to have such a large mirror and cabinet space to hide all our daily essentials. Make sure to install shelves before placing doors. Shelves cant be installed with doors on (slight downside). Also, the door hinges have lots of adjustments using the screws so you can make sure they are spaced out and level. Great quality and very happy with this purchase.

This is a really nice item, expensive (like everything Kohler sells), but high quality. We saved a few bucks buying it on Wayfair. I still had to go to another supplier to get the side panels, since we wall-mounted the unit, rather than setting it into the wall, but that was no big deal. It's heavy, so make sure you locate your studs to attach the upper edge mounting strip. The directions said one stud is enough with wall anchors at two other spots, but I felt a LOT more comfortable knowing I had two studs and only one anchor. You can then attach the lower mounting clips in the same fashion, once the unit is hanging on the wall. Installation isn't as bad as you might think, assuming you have a level to get the mount straight and a high-quality household drill holes in the mounting strip, drive screws into studs and create holes for anchors.

Just gorgeous... and practical too

This is a stunningly gorgeous medicine cabinet. When dimmed, the cabinet doubles as a night light, which is needed in this hall/guest bath. When on maximum brightness, the light does not overwhelm the rest of the bathroom lighting. I like a well-lit bath, and am glad to have installed additional lighting. The interior mirrors are a fabulous feature, especially the adjustable-height close-up mirror. And the interior has LOTS of room to keep stray health & beauty products both handy & out of sight.

The cabinet is a nice looking, simpleelegant design. The shelves are a good size and hold a decent amount of stuff. Install was kind of painful which is the reason for the 4 of 5 stars. The z-bar cleat for surface mounting is thin and a bit flimsy (but it does get the job done) and you have to pilot hole through it once you mark your studs. I have plaster walls and the whole process took at least a couple of hours and I am a pretty handy guy. Overall, id recommend it even though its price point is a bit high.

We love this medicine cabinet. We actually like this one a lot better than the LED lighted version, which has been a pain for my electrician to deal with. We bought this regular cabinet for the guest bath, and the lighted one for the master bath. If we had to do it again, we'd buy the regular one for both bathrooms and just use separate vanity lighting. The doors can pop off in order to adjust the shelving. Quality seems good. If you flushmount this onto the wall instead of recessing it, then you really need to buy the side panels or else it's an eyesore.

Top Notch Cabinet

I needed a modern medicine cabinet to fit an existing built-in space for my complete bathroom renovation and this one fit the bill quite nicely. It has a very classy look that blends well with any style or decor. The quality is above average as are the other four Kohler med. cabinets that I used in my other bathrooms during this renovation. Installation was a breeze, especially for a built in. I think it would be even easier on a flush mount. I found the customer service to be exemplary in answering my questions and providing details whilst helping me with my final decision. * One caution - handle carefully. This will require 2 people to hold as it is being placed. Because the doors are basically a sheet of mirrored glass (no frame) the outside edges are vulnerable to having the backing (mirror) scratched or broken. The built in magnifying is a bonus! My husband even likes it!
