One side of the light is hot as a pistol

The light was installed and works, but while touching the frame, I noticed that one side of the light was too hot to hold your hand on it. I called the company Maxim, and because the lights (two of them, and both get very hot) were purchased new in the box at a Habitat for Humanity Re-Sale store, they will not stand behind their product. Buyer, beware and check to see if your light(s) gets hot! I am very disappointed in Maxim's lack of support and help!!

I needed a replacement for kitchen light that was installed in 1999. The fixture was on the expensive side but looks great and had the wires in the center. We tried other fixtures that did not have the wiring in the center and did not work existing wiring. It is helpful to have two people during install.

Great Light Fixture for Small Kitchen

It was easy to install and looks like we expected it to look from your pictures. It puts out the amount of light that we needed and expected. It is structurally sound and well made. Looks stylish and sleek.

Good looking light we installed in our basement. You do need two people to do the installation unless you have three hands.

Love it. Don’t understand why

Love it. Don’t understand why people complain about mounting. Maybe they changed the bracket but it’s super easy. My wires outta my ceiling weren’t very long so i needed an extra set of hands to hold the light higher than the safety chain. Outta the box there’s 2 screws on the side. Unscrew and the bracket comes apart from the light. Install bracket. Light catches the front of the bracket then you put the 2 screws back in the side and your done.

Excellent kitchen fixtures

These lights are perfect for our small farmhouse kitchen. They are slim, hug the ceiling, are well designed, the light is warm and even, they were easy to install.

Great Buy

I needed a very flush mount above a canopy bed, and this fixture was perfect. It was easy to install. I used only the electrical box screws. The four corner drywall attachments seemed unnecessary given the weight of the unit. It has a safety wire in the unlikely event that the fixture comes loose from the mounting bracket. The brightness is more than adequate for a bedroom, and it works well with my LED dimmer switch.

Sky panels a super solution for basement

Use these panels for my low ceiling basement. Clean low profile. For a good retrofit where ceiling cans can’t be easily installed. The bronze edge looks upscale and modern.

Almost impossible to install

I like the light color it emits but it was extremely difficult to install. The ground wire is short and difficult to work with. It was almost impossible to get it flush with the ceiling. We regret the purchase.

Pleased with ordering, delivery, and the product

We had a positive experience with 1StopLighting. The order process was smooth, the delivery timely, and the cost of the LED lights very reasonable. We had an electrician come to install them in our laundry room and closet, which took little time given the lights came with the necessary hardware. We are living the life in the light!

Great product. Great communication. Had a pallet of these dropped off at job site and the truck driver over exceeded my expectations. Called the day before to schedule approximate arrival, as well as gave me a 45 min heads up before they were going to be there the day of arrival. 5 star experience all the way around.

Need two people to install 48" model

If it was easier to install I would give it more stars. It is a bit pricy but looks much better than an old fluorescent light. I was installing it by myself and could not get all the corners latched. I did it about five times and each time one corner would not take. I was using two hands and my head to hold it flush. Problem is that it is floppy, so you need four points of support. Then as you slide it on and off it, as you miss a corner, it scratches the ceiling paint. So I had to repaint the ceiling. I left one corner not attached as ran out of time and energy. It is not noticeable so I left it that way. (I will say that most lighting fixtures are a pain in the butt in their own special way) If they could make it more ridged or improve the latching system it would be better.
