Good Idea, Bad Design

Light rain it does not unroll enough, and just backs itself up. There is nowhere for the water to go unless it is a heavy rain to push everything out. Also you HAVE to have a leaf guard for this to work otherwise leaves will jam up the tubing and prevent the roll from rolling back up. Going to remove this thing ASAP and put a regular gutter extension on.

Room for improvement

First time I installed it, it came right off at the first rainstorm. I then used another zip tie to attach above the weatherstripping it comes with. Now it's secure, but the instructions need improvement. The vinyl attaches to your downspout but there is no reinforcement so I anticipate this not to last past hurricane season in FL. I needed something that the landscapers won't run over with their lawnmowers, and this is the only one of its type I've seen in the market. I'd still buy another once this one goes.

Light, extends easy and auto roll up. Rolls up when water stops. Kind of expensive for this product, but doing the job.

Down spout extension

The rain has to been very heavy to open the spouts. Rain forced out of the back because it wouldn't open. Waste of money..

Downspout extension

The extended spout sprays water out of small holes and created a backlog of the rain water coming thru the gutter. I had to cut the end of the extended spout so the water could flow better.

Leaks, doesn't work

The seal leaks despite following instructions with foam and zip tie. It doesn't roll out and the leak allows more water to flow in to my flowerbed.

Worked as planned.

It was simple to install, and came with the installation pieces needed. It worked well in the recent heavy rains. However it didn't extend as far as I thought it would do too angles and such.

Great item for helping with a leaking pipe in the backyard that would turn off, on the weekend when a plumber was unavailable and a well know website did not produce any relevant emergency plumbing help.
