It's very difficult to star working, I have another one the same brand and don't have the same problem.

I ran this off of a 20lb tank in my garage and it smelled horrible. the directions do say 100lb tank minimum but i didn't see that untill i was putting it on wall. had the right hose and regulator so idk. returned and bought the mr heater same one and it works perfect with 20lb tank.

Great heater

This heater has worked flawless for us. I do wish it had come with the attachment hose but it was easy enough to find. It would have been nice for the connection could have been on side of heater due to it wont sit level as connection is on the bottom of heater. It has to sit level to light so I have it on some landscape bricks . It has kept my home at 70 degrees with it 10 below outside so my electric hvac system hasnt had to run since using this heater.
