Large. Holds plenty of water. With a nozzle on the front. It also has a threaded drain on the bottom back. This allows a hose connection and has more pressure that the front brass fitting.
I got two of these to help prevent mulch washout and erosion from gutter runoff, and also to have a water source on one side of the house. They were easy to assemble and look great! And they are doing the job. Of course it depends on the size of your roof, but I get ~80 gallons from an inch of rain. Crazy cool!
I ordered 2. Both came defective and leak from the bottom, but not at the fitting connections. It seems to be a manufacturer defect in the material used. I ordered the white sand and both leaked. Wayfair sent me 2 replacements and the same problem with the replacements. The material seems to be porous and the water finds its way out the bottom through the actual material of the barrel. Take a look at the photo
This rain barrel has worked well for me. I like how the faucet on the front is high enough that I can get a watering can under it. I have a rain chain leading the water down from the gutter into it, and it’s fun to watch the water run down during a storm. There is a separate outlet on the back at the bottom that can be used to drain the barrel down lower than the faucet level. I usually only use the front faucet, as keeping some water in the barrel makes it heavy enough to withstand the winds we have without blowing away. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it’s made of resin, which is a flammable material. For a product that sits right next to my house, in wildfire territory, I would rather have metal or ceramic, or something non-flammable. I haven’t been able to find anything made of those materials that is affordable though. I’ll just have to bring the thing in when we’re having a drought and it’s just an empty hunk of flammable resin.
It feels durable and was very easy to setup. We haven't had a rain yet, but we're ready!
Leaks like a Siv
Bought this a couple of months ago, so I could stop watering with the hose and use the water from the rain barrel. Only I found that despite it being overflowing after the rain, before I started to use it I noticed that it was no longer having water at the top, it was below the filter within an hour of the downpour. I found that the slab it was sitting on was covered in water, upon inspection the lower spout for the hose to be attached to get to the bottom of the contents of water was leaking. We used a special tape to make it a better seal, waited for another rainfall to see how it would do. If we fixed the problem, rained last night, turned on the faucet, not a drip for me to use. Put it on its side to investigate the lower level hose and the faucet in the middle popped right off so the remaining rain water gushed out. We laced the spout to insert it back into the rain barrel and it would not hold onto it, popped back out. Do not recommend, leaks like a siv.
Looks great, but overflows VERY quickly. Not really a flaw in the design, but just something to be aware of. 50 gallons of water sounds like a lot, but in reality, when it's pouring off your roof, it's not much at all. Also, the spigot that you attach the hose to isn't the best, and we ended up with a small leak we tried to fix ourselves with Flex Seal. It sort of works, but we have to be very careful if we unscrew and screw on the hose lest we disrupt it and need to fix it again.
It's terrible. If I could give it negative stars I would. It leaks and it looks cheap - though at $200 it's not. This is the second time in less than a year that Wayfair has been severely disappointing. I will not be purchasing from you again.
Beautiful!! I'm using them for an indoor off grid water supply. The linking feature is awesome. I purchased the pump kit and it provides adequate pressure to feed my kitchen sink and shower. I fill it with municipal water rather than rainwater. Ihave 2 and plan to purchase a 3rd so I can have 150 gallons of fresh water at hand. Great product.

Algreen Wicker Style Rain Barrel: Poor Quality Control
The first rain barrel I bought had a leak at the lower spigot insert between the insert and the barrel, returned it for the same model. This second one also had a leak between the lower spigot mounting insert and the barrel. I would not recommend this product due to poor quality control
I wish I could give this a 5 star rating because it looks great, perfect size and was exactly what I wanted for my garden.
These Rain Barrels are exactly what I was looking for. They are stylish and functional at the same time. We have had a significant amount of rain in the last few weeks, and they have been the perfect addition for our gardening needs. The water we will collect from our rain barrel collection system will allow us to use keep our gardens growing during our growing season without having to pull out our water hose.
Extremely poorly made
I was looking for a decorative rain barrel for the front of my house. Most Algreen brand barrels have poor reviews on other sites, but this one is decently rated.
I waited over a year to post this review to make sure the quality was good. This rain barrel has held up great so far, but is not in full sun. I love the shape and design. It comes with the spout hardware and a cover so debris does not fall in, which is nice. I would purchase again.
Hooked the two I purchased up right before a torrential rainfall (one out front and one in the backyard). They are attractive and were well made. Both filled up in no time. I look forward to using a soaker hose to them and doing a strategic watering after days without rain. In the summer I could probably use two more of these and they are designed to attach multiple barrels easily. So this may be on my "to purchase" list for the near future.
Do not buy this. I filled it with 50 gallons of water. The entire outside of the barrel began to sweat. It was covered with weeping water. The barrel was empty by morning. I am so angry. All that money and something to put in the trash.
It’s nice. Bought because it has a large screen area. I don’t have gutters-I rent. I positioned on the edge of eve where there is the most rain but it’s been weeks and still not high enough to reach the faucet. So the only thing is the faucet is very high and haven’t been able to use because the water has not reached yet to that level. Otherwise lightweight and sturdy. Seems well made.
Shopping was easy and rain barrel was delivered on time, but box had small tear in it. When opened up, rain barrel was ok, but the accessories were missing. There is no spigot, Teflon tape, nozzle with shut off cap. I am trying to figure out how to get these or return it.
The barrel is pretty, but we could never get it to work. Figured maybe the hose was too long, even though the barrel was full, the water wouldn't come through it. I decided to try a shorter hose and when I went to take there coupling off and switch it with a 10' hose, the hose connector broke off the barrel. Literally, I never got a drop of water from the barrel on my garden. A huge disappointment and a waste of money.
