Kitchen remodeler

Our kitchen was dark and dated. Outlets and switches were painted dark green to "match" soapstone countertops and backsplashes. The light almond switches, outlets, and covers complement the new quartz countertops and look fresh, clean, and modern.

It's gfci outlet, a socket that when it overloads will cut off and then you press the button to make it work again. This one is made of a white plastic but it feels quite durable. It has a test button and that you should press once a month and it trips the socket and so you know the socket is working. This one, I have put in my bathroom and so far no problems. I have had this in place now for a week and it just blends in.

The connection screws would not unscrew far enough to accommodate the wires, so the only way to install this was using the back connections/holes. Also, the top left prong hole is set awkwardly close to the top of the unit, making it appear substandard. Unfortunately, I decided to forego installing it at it's intended, highly visible, kitchen location because of the awkward prong-opening placement.

This GFCI receptacle appears to be a good one. It has several desirable features. It is tamper-resistant which should help prevent small children from sticking things in it. It is self-testing and has indicator lights to show condition at a glance. It is very easy to test as well. No lights mean there is no power to it. Green light means it has power and is working correctly. Green and RED lights indicate that it has been tripped, and/or that there may be a ground-fault condition in the circuit. It is very easy to install, but not recommended for those with little to no knowledge of electricity. Instructions are very clear with good illustrations. It is also attractive, as GFCI’s go. The lack of colored buttons might help keep children from noticing it. We had a grandson that couldn’t resist any visible buttons, and we frequently found that when we had no power on a given circuit, we just had to reset the GFCI at the head of that circuit. Looks, good, works well.

Product selection great, but slow shipping

I sure wish you could get your items shipped faster. It took 2 weeks before I had my order. Four of the items ended up delaying the lighting in my kitchen for those extra two weeks.
