Broke After a Few Uses

It was noisy and inefficient when it did work, and now that it broke after just a few days of use I am forced to drive back to the store to return it. Joke of a product.

Great product

Works great got it on sale for $147.00 with a 2 year warranty it came to $177.00. Had a Midea potable it was junk you had to drain it all the time this air conditioner haven’t had to drain it at all.Wish I would’ve bought two at this price.

It cools pretty well, just not as well as I'd hoped. I live in a small 1 BR apartment and I'm using the Whynter AC together with another 10,000 BTU portable AC. It cools well enough. I'm pretty happy!

I am using this in a room less than 200sq. ft., and am less than impressed. Firstly, it is loud. "Whisper-Silent Operation"...NOPE. It may be 55dBA on low/fan only, but why would you spend this kind of money only to use this as a fan, at its lowest setting? After over an hour, the temperature dropped only about 4-5 degrees. If you think about it, this is meant for smaller rooms, so there's really no place to hide from the noise. And the smaller the room, the louder it will seem. The window kit is so cheap, a screw hole stripped after only one adjustment. The drain hole is about 1" above floor level, so you'll have to lift it up in order to drain it. Or if you have something with enough capacity for the job but with only 1" side walls to contain all the drain water. It would be much better if there was a removable tank. For this unit it's entirely internal so you can't even see the water level. Instructions are not the greatest either. Maybe my expectations were too high. It works, but just barely adequate/acceptable/tolerable.

Nice unit for smaller room size

I purchased for my son’s 20’ x 15’ room as he has a gaming PC setup in the room which puts out a good amount of heat. The room has only a single A/C vent in it and therefore cannot keep up with cooling the room on 80 degree plus days. This unit does a great job doing so and the remote is a plus. Setup was easy enough with venting via a nearby window. Could not beat the price as well.

Good product - concerns about how window insert works on old-house windows

internal compressor that is supposed to condense air and recycle water -- does not work -- drains allover the floor - the outlet drain outlet diameter is TINY - and drain hose disconnects constantly due to increased water pressure - drains all over the floor - THIS AC IS A NIGHT MARE. DO NOT buy it. I will be returning it.

I've already bought a second one and my get another

I'm using this unit in a beachfront condo in cape cod. It easily cools the 600 square foot condo and was easy to install. And there's no concern about me or rental

Vent Points Up to Ceiling, No Air In Room

The air vent points up to the ceiling, and no air flows directly into the room. The vent is NOT adjustable, so air cannot be redirected from the ceiling. (Re: Whynter CoolSize 10,000 BTU Compact Portable Air Conditioner with Dehumidifier.)

This is a perfect sized unit for what I need. The only problem I have is that it was out of stock in June when I needed it and I had to wait until it was back in stock. That was late September. When I received the unit, I unpacked it and checked for damage. I let it sit for a few days before I plugged it in to ensure it was working. Seems to be fine, but since summer is over, I won't be able to see it work properly until next year and if something is wrong with it, the warranty will probably expire. :(

I have been skeptical in purchasing one of these bad boys, but I was wrong it absolutely does it’s job. I am glad I finally decided to purchase this . I was tired of sweating getting ready for work in this summer heat, since all we have is a wall unit in the apt. It was easy to instal as well.
