Have used this in a variety of settings. Incredible amount of light in a small comparatively inexpensive package.

Speedy delivery from DJ City. Unit works brilliantly (hah!) with clear, evenly illuminated spread. Colour changes excellent, deep and rich. Top unit for price. Just the item for our school theatre.

Awesome LED Spotlight

Order process was easy, shipped right away and have used for several months now. Light is effective, lightweight, dependable, and runs cool to boot! Great for Church use!

Hard to use, no hard edges and the plug to light connection was useless. Returned it.

If your looking to add a fallow spot to your light show, this is a real nice add on, especially for the money.. For doing bar gigs, this spot is very bright. I shot it down my street and it lit up 3/4 down the block. Much brighter than i ever had anticipated....

OK for the Price

This followspot is bright (for a small venue)light-weight and reasonably priced. My initial impression is more-or-less positive. There are some things to note, though. The color temperature seems more blue than most daylight color temperature instruments. I suspect this is a matter of the quality of the LEDS. I'm afraid that this will render skin tones in a less than flattering way. The focus mechanism is not smoothat all. It feels loose and unlubricated. It's going to be very hard to change the beam spread and edge feathering smoothly and quickly. The final negative is the included stand. As other reviews have written, it's marginal at best. The stand is short, flimsy and really nothing more than an inexpensive tripod light stand with a custom mount. To make matters worse, it arrived with a missing nut, so I couldn't properly assemble the stand. Chauvet's support team was attentive and polite but ultimately USELESS - BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARRY PARTS FOR THE STAND. The stand and light seem to be a Chauvet product in name only! FWIW, I was able to solve this problem with a trip to the hardware store and an off-the-self 6mm nut. If you've read this far and still think this instrument is for you, then I'll note some positives. The weight is great and easily portable. The color selector works smoothly. The built-in dimmer is a great feature, as is the simple push button black out.

This is amazing! Quiet, light, compact and powerful spot. We use it in our church teach week, and it does the trick!

Exactly what we needed!

The staff was very helpful in helping us find the spotlight that was perfect for our needs. It made a major difference in our production. I liked that it was easy enough for the students to set it up and run it without supervision and light enough to carry around. Thanks!

Exactly What We Need

I am a novice with anything on the stage. I did some research and have talked with a couple people familiar with stage lighting and went with this one. I actually bought two for use at our church. They are perfect for us. We use them at a range of 40' to 90'. They have great focus at all ranges, they run cool, and move easily. They are lightweight and simple to use. I consider them a great value!

Great little light!

I am a musician, theater director , actor and theatrical production specialist. I work a lot with the youth.It is bright "white" and many other great colors, it does not get hot which makes it a much safer light to use as a follow spot. This allows me to train very young technicians without fear of burns. It is so tight weight that even my grade schoolers can properly store it away and handle it with ease. Its size allows me to tuck the follow spot away in spots I would never get a conventional follow spot.The only really big draw back is the iris will not close completely down. but this is made up for by the real time dimming capability at the operators finger tips.The DMX control allows you to integrate the color spectum into the rest of your lighting ques seamlessly. great product for the price

Pros: Easy Setup,Bright,Long Beam Throw,Efficient,Runs CoolerCons: Different Colors Flash WhWe used this spotlight for a play in our church. It was perfect because we were set up on top of a balcony and had the spotlight aimed at the front of the church and we were able to see the light perfectly. The only problem was when we switched colors the other colors in between would quickly flash. Still a great spotlight.

Excellent for small venues

For the price this is an excellent alternative to bigger followspots. Portable version easy to install in seconds and not requiring special electrical needs. Be aware that the construction is flimsy, so it makes it unstable when used at full height. But on the light output perspective, LED is great and the fact that the unit does'nt get too hot makes it great for small venues

Great light

We used this for a national training conference of about 600 people. The stage was about 100' from the lights. Lights were powerful, but it has a really high humming sound which is quite annoying. You eventually don't realize it's there with all that's happening at the event, but still...it's annoying. Other than that, functionality is great. Also, it comes with a useless tripod...not sure who would use the tripod that it comes with since it's so small.
