What a disappointment

I was so excited to put this in my new home. This was the one thing that I wanted to have for myself.

Oven

My wife does alot of baking and the oven is horrible. She has to preheat the oven for an hour for it to get to temperature. I bought a thermometer and put inside when she was baking and she has the oven set to 375 and 2 hours later it was still at 225 degrees. This is just insane the amount time it takes to preheat if it even does. This is our second stove because the first was the first one did the same thing and the outside got extremely hot to the touch. I would not recommend this oven if you like to bake alot. You will use alot more electricity and time waiting for this oven.

Looks great. Baking not so good

I bought this stove based on appearance and decent reviews. Unfortunately most of the reviewers had hardly used the stove. The biggest problem is that the oven burns food in the back. The only solution is to turn the baking item 180 degrees every ten minutes. Alternately only cook on convection. The bottom element on my stove went bad and Zline required an inordinate amount of hoops to jump through to get a new element. I was not even asking for warranty service I would have gladly bought a new element, but it still took three days to get a promise of sending one. 1-2 days for the order 7-10 days for shipping. This is totally unacceptable. It is a nice looking stove. I recommend buying it as a decoration and getting another one to actually use. :)

Nice range. Oven shelves are overly complicated moving them around is a pain. Also has what I believe is a cooling fan that is very loud and runs the entire time oven is on regardless of use of convection. I thought this was a convection problem but found many people on line talking about this cooling fan. I very likely would have chosen another range had I known about the cooling fan. That being said the duel fuel range is well built looks good and the oven has worked well. The stove top is well built easy to clean and turbo burner is hot enough for my wok.

Faulty Product

I purchased the six burner, dual fuel range (RAS-SN-36) and the oven has always had an odd smell when on, similar to an electrical fire. Eventually the oven would turn on but wouldn't heat up. Z line wouldn't send someone to fix it but did send a replacement of the snap thermostat. After taking the oven apart we learned they sent an outdated version. We requested a new one and they promised us expedited shipping. The next morning we got an email that the part is out of stock for another 20 days. We are now two months without an oven and another month to go. Everyone we talked to at Z Line has been incredibly rude. We are a new construction home and have been using the oven for less than a year but technically purchased it over a year ago so we are not longer covered under warrantee. Do NOT recommend.

Worst appliance I've ever owned

We purchased our Z Line oven 4 years ago during a kitchen remodel. I was initially attracted to its high end appearance with a good price point. The oven worked fine for the first 12 months. It has very basic features but it worked fine initially. The 13th month we owned it, it stopped working. An appliance repair company diagnosed it as a faulty heating element. We had it replaced and 60 days later the heating element went out again. It was replaced a second time and 60 days later it went out again. This time a burned electrical component that fed into the heating element was found and that was also replaced. The oven worked fine again for a few years. Fast forward to this past fall (2023) and the heating element goes out again and then again 60 days later. We were without an oven this past Thanksgiving but had the oven up and running again early December. Now just 6 weeks later the oven has stopped working. Again. This time the diagnosis is a bad coolant fan which has been quoted as a $600 repair. At this point the question is, do we continue to invest repairs into an appliance that is a complete piece of junk. At only 4 years old it should not have broken down even once, much less 6 times. There are obvious major flaws with the oven's components. Electrical components burning up are a fire hazard! Buyer Beware for anyone in the market to purchase a Z Line oven! I personally will never buy from a company again that doesn't value making quality products.

Caught fire, burnt wires

Stay away from ZLine. You will be 1st in line with customer service for 2hrs and nobody will answer. We had our oven replaced after one year as the bottom element stopped working. This happened to our second oven too and we just found out that it happened because the element wires caught fire and totally burnt, melted. Had them replaced. Just experienced this the third time tonight. Scary. Sparks, smoke and all house lights flickered. Now the top cooker is not working either. Highly hazardous.

VERY LOUD and VERY SLOW- A Terrible Combination

Unfortunately, this oven has been a disappointment since day one. At first, we were thrilled- The range really looks great. That's about where our excitement ended. The noise the oven makes when you turn it on resembles a jet engine. It is a very high pitch whine that lasts the entire time its on, in any mode. Also, it takes about twice as long to bake than our old, cheap, oven. It takes up to an hour to preheat to 450! I would not recommend this oven, unless your house is just for show.

Happy with our Dual Fuel Range

Bought this last year and just getting around to a review. This is the 2nd purchase we have made from Zline. We are very happy with the stove top of this unit. The dual fuel oven has been a bit tougher to figure out. There are 2 settings, high and low bake as well as conventional and convection. It appears to have hot and cold spots in the oven. The best thing we have done is rotate the food in the oven to get an even cooking experience. The unit was well packed for shipping. No scratches, all pieces intact, easy installation. An instant statement in the kitchen. We do appreciate the construction and service of the Zline range unit. We have been loyal to other brands in the past but will consider Zline in other products when we need them. If anyone has suggestions on the hot/cold pocket issue. We are all ears.
