I've had an automatic kitchen trash can for years and loved it but it was difficult to keep the stainless steel looking clean. This new one is steel and it's black. It's so easy to keep looking fresh. Love it!

Good quality, good price, very nice stainless steel trash can .It looks like the pic. What I like most about it is that the opening is wide enough, and the garbage doesn't spill out the sides when I use the dust pan. I'm pleased with this purchase. thank you .

It keeps bad odors inside

This is a great trash can for the kitchen. It keeps bad odors inside. It opens when you reach over the top...then it stays open for about 10 seconds...then closes automatically. Very nice item...just don't forget to have size C batteries for it.

Lid not opening properly - Found a way to resolve

Hello, I cannot give this a higher rating because out of the box the lid did NOT work properly. The lid closed normally as it should but it would only open about an inch.

Love this trash can! Big pluses are the depressions on each side of the lid, so if batteries fail the lid can be opened manually. It isn’t super sensitive and no problem with the cover opening when I pass by the front buttons can be used to have the lid stay open a longer time. Classy looking for a trash can!

- I like the fact that it opens when I wave it to open. That is why I got this trash can. However, the reason it gets 1 star is because there's so many gaps for fruit flies to get in, they constantly appear even though I keep a relatively clean kitchen and regularly take the trash out. This trashcan makes me miserable. I do not recommend it for kitchen trash.

Great product! Wanted to refresh the old, bent stainless one I've had for 20 years! Liked the sensor concept. My husband was shocked the first time he saw it in operation! Funny! Really a great product!

DOES NOT WORK

Followed instructions, which are easy, but two sets of new C-cell batteries later, the automatic feature does not work. Too cumbersome to pack up & return. Stuck with an expensive trash can. Unable to get any suitable response from the on-line customer service. Very disappointed.

Convenient and Neat: My New Automatic Trash Can

I just bought a trash can for my apartment, and I have to say, the shipping was incredibly fast-it only took two days to arrive. The trash can itself is light, much lighter than I expected. The instructions were very detailed, and the manufacturer cleverly attached them inside the lid, so there's no need to worry about losing them. HAHA!

Nice garbage can

This garbage can looks nice and functions well so far. My only complaints are that it's a little small, so doesn't hold actually hold 13 gallons, and there's no pull ring/handle, which is one of the features I wanted. It's hard to understand why it doesn't have the same ring/handle that's in the photos.

Love this trash can. I bought it for my son for college. It’s ideal for larger trash but if you are looking for a larger kitchen type this may not be the one for you. It opens nice and isn’t too big or too small. Just right. It does require 4 C type batteries.

It's been great

We wanted an automatically opening trash can and this one has held up great. The trash bag comes out nicely and it functions as it should. I would keep in mind that if you need to scoop something into the trash for a bit (frosting in our case) the lid might close and you may just end up with a blob of frosting on top of the lid...

You don't hear this often, "I love this trash can.

The sensor is sensitive enough and the system has a way to prolong the open/close function for those instances when one is needing to throw things out every few minutes, such as when doing cooking prep work. We bought a white one which blends in nicely at the end of our white cabinets. Great product! Great price.

Great but must hold hand still in front

Good quality, I don't worry much about cleaning it often, just need to dust off the lid occasionally. The electric function does take effort to hold your hand in front of it rather than a quick waive. So if you are impatient, it's not for you.

Just a little to short.

I had a Motion Sensor 13 Gallon Stainless Steel Trash can I needed to have replaced because it had seen better days. I was very disappointed when it came and it was about 6 inches shorter than the one I had. It's hard for the sensor to work when you are so much taller than the can. You still have to bend down.

Very Functional

Very nice looking garbage can. Works as it says. The inside piece is difficult to adjust with bag and we ended up accidentally throwing it away. But overall it is a nice looking garbage can.

Too short for comfort

Looks are deceiving. This is a little larger than a wastebasket. I actually looked for the dimensions and they are not true to size. The picture of the can next yo the counter is NOT this size. It barely comes to my knees and Im short.
