I purchased this hood to replace an old Samsung hood. So far works great, not too loud on high speed and the light is very brigh.

The controller has proven faulty. The fan refused to shut off after 3 year. Bosch declined to repair it due to the expired one-year warranty. With a repair cost near $800, it's not a worthwhile investment.

Faulty Junk

Doesn't have a clock. Timer only adjusts one minute per button press but not by holding the button, making it infeasible to use while cooking. My hood "broke" after 13 months and would only run the fan at off or full speed regardless of the setting. This issue cleared somehow on its own after 2 months. A year later my fan won't turn off. Now it runs on low in the off and low setting or full speed at the medium or high setting. I have had issues with every Bosch appliance in my kitchen and all are less than 3 years old. My impressing is that Bosch knows they produce faulty products by only giving a 1-year warranty. If these were good quality, Bosch would stand by their products with a longer warranty.

Fan Control Broke After 16 Months

This is supposed to have 3 fan speeds. Mine now only has off or full on. The controller simply stopped working. Bosch will not cover repair since it is 6 months past the 1-year warranty. Spend your money elsewhere.
