Missing parts

Hood came without the needed (and supposedly included) hood-to-duct connector, since this is a short custom piece I now have to decide if it's worth paying $160 more, plus taxes, shipping and handling to order this part that was supposed to be included. It will be another $200 on top of the purchase price. Terrible. Avoid this hood.

I cannot give a review. I was unable to install the hood because the 6" round duct adapter was missing from the included hardware.

this is by far the worst range under counter hood i ever purchased. this hood isn't worth $1.00! the hood was installed and vented straight up and out my roof. when you use the hood even on boost the amount of grease that forms on the top of the hood is incredible. i will admit it takes most of the smoke out but that is it. the two grates don't have any filter material to catch any grease that might form therefore they drip grease back onto the stove. my old $100 hood worked 100 times better than this $950. hood. would absolutely not recommend this product. btw my whole household is samsung products tv"s dishwasher stove refrigerator washing machine dryer phone. extremely disappointed with this range hood.

Nice design | Poor Connectivity

Nice sleek design, and powerful fan. As I read the other reviews... then only feature that doesn't work, and is pretty useless, is the Bluetooth connectivity. It doesn't connect to my new Samsung Oven/Cooktop, nor does it connect to my phone or SmartThings app... very vague in the user guide too... pretty disappointing, b/c this would've been the icing on the cake for this appliance.

I am still struggling to get my hood paired with my cooktop. I called Samsung and they could not help. The hood has good features, just very disappointed in the pairing connectivity.

[Rewarded Review] Range Hood with Touch Controls

This range hood has LED lights that shine down near the front of the cooktop. I like the "touch controls" for the lights and for the fan speed. There is also a control to let the fan run on a timer.

Misguiding Item Advertising

samsung provides not accurate information and misleading advertising for smartthings and bluetooth features that this unit "has" and to me looks like are "locked".

Great Product!

we bought this unit in october 2019 for our portland, oregon condo. looks great, excellent build quality, the sound level is not loud and love the tones when you push buttons, very subtle not annoying at all! intallation was very easy. we just moved in july 2022 to atlanta, georgia. we are about to order the same unit again for our home we bought here. good job samsung.

Great hood, does a really good job of eliminating unwanted odors. Like feature of syncing to cooktop. Light is really bright so you can see food. Well built. Only issue I had was cleaning residue from protective plastic. I took about 2 hours to clean it all off.

This hood, by all accounts should cost half as much. Other similarly styled hoods with similar specs (cfm, etc) cost ~400. The only additional feature or spec is the gimmicky bluetooth connectivity which simply turns the fan on automatically when the stove turns on.

Less then 2 years LED LIGHTS ARE OUT.

i am very disappointed with samsung appliances, i purchased complete kitchen appliances from samsung, i had an issues on all their appliances, they replaced my dishwasher, cooking rage and refrigerator within 30 days. now my range hood led lights went out, they should last longer then 2 years. that is the only appliance i didn’t get extended warranty. i hoping samsung will fix my led lights.

Lowes reps clueless and are only there for sale.

Had to return 1st hood because of manufacturing defects. The 2nd hood had a defect with internal electronics cover. The Lowes appliance guy told me to call Samsung to get a replacement. He dint want to deal with it. So I never got a new cover. They also were not aware that the blue tooth is only compatible with some cooktops and told us our 4000k slide in range would communicate. It does not. So all the connectivity stuff sounds great but it does not work since they are not compatible appliances Reps are clueless. Do your own homework. I have spent over 100k at Lowes this year and it means nothing. This past experience with appliances( just purchases Samsung 8600 washer /dryer, Slide in range, flex fridge, 39 db dishwasher, and counter microwave with trim kit, and 36 inch hood.) has taken a toll on my view of Lowes.

[Rewarded Review] Awesome Range Hood

We recently moved home and installed all new appliances in the kitchen from Samsung including the 36" Range Hood in Stainless Steel. The hood really completes the look and feel of the kitchen and I really like that Samsung added Bluetooth connectivity although we unfortunately needed to remove the Wi-Fi module from the cooktop as due to an insufficient counter depth. The hood is extremely powerful and the lights are bright. It would have been five stars if there was an option to dim the lights but that doesn't appear to be possible.
