DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE!!! I fact think twice about buying ANY GE product. I would give it 1 star for looks only. The unit does not work. I bought it from Best Buy only 3 years ago. I am dealing with my 7th service call for not cooling in the past year and a half on this 3 year old fridge. There have been multiple case numbers. GE closes my cases when there is no activity for 30 days. I have lost thousands of dollars in food with a unit that has gone out over 7x.(once on Christmas Eve!) Their engineering dept has been consulted multiple times. This is a design issue with this model. GE is aware of the flaw and won’t do anything but make customers wait for them to figure out a solution. This is 2024, a working refrigerator is a normal expectation in an American home. I paid about $10k for it new! In August I was told that Engineering has put a part into production. There is no update to when the part will be ready. It doesn’t even have a part number yet! They won’t replace the unit even though they warranty the evap system for 5 years on this unit. They keep having me wait longer for this part that they are supposedly making that doesn’t have a part number. I am at the end of my rope. My next step is to contact the Federal Trade Commission and State Attorney General to file complaints. I HOPE THIS GETS YOUR ATTENTION GE! Call me GE! You can look my number up in your system. You have my associated email with this review. Oh and the Ice maker went out after only 14 months after install. It is JUNK and the company is a MESS. BUYER BEWARE!!!

THE WORST PRODUCT EVER BUILT

DO NOT BUY!!!! WORST REFRIGERATOR EVER!!!!!! ITS HAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT LOUD NOISE CONSTANT, I BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND NO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT FOR OVER A YEAR. STILL WAITING ON A REPAIR KIT. THIS IS A VERY BAD PRODUCT PLEASE LISTEN!!! YOU DONT WANT TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH. NEVER FOR THE MONEY SPENT!!! THIS IS GARBAGE

Don’t buy this refrigerator

I am very upset. I paid a lot of money for this refrigerator. After three years, the icemaker does not work any longer. I change the filter still doesn’t work. I wonder if someone from GE will respond back to me

Refrigerator stop working after 2 years.

I can't believe the poor quality of this refrigerator for the price. The refrigerator was working find and then as soon as the warranty expired the refrigerator failed. I very disappointed in GE.

Great Fridge

Fridge is great. Only complaint is the ice dispenser is rather slow. My 20 year old 48” GE monogram was very fast.

It’s great but I wish

It’s great but I wish the cold water came out faster and the door of the fridge closed like my last one——- without pushing it closed.

Not going to last long

The fridge worked fine for around 2 years. Then it started making a loud noise from the back of the freezer. I had paid for an extended warranty so I called to have it fixed. By the time the tech came, the noise had stopped but the fridge and the freezer weren't getting cold enough and everything was defrosting. The tech decided that it was because the gasket was loose. They ordered a new one but I scheduled another appt because a fridge doesn't become 60 degrees from a loose gasket. They decided, based on my description of the symptoms, that the motor and fan must be bad. They ordered new ones and the tech came to replace them. He said nothing was wrong with the current motor and fan but he changed them anyways. Not surprisingly, this didn't fix the problem and my freezer is still close to 40 degrees and the fridge is at 60. So they are coming back in 2 days to try and figure out the problem, but after reading all the other reviews, I do not have high hopes that it will be fixed. The last tech said maybe the whole board has to be replaced. Doesn't sound like anyone knows how to repair what seems to be a very common problem with this fridge.

Save yourself the misery

We have had this Profile- low-end Monogram for less than 2 years and had 6 service calls. Since day 6 of ownership we have had problems with the ice maker and ice dispenser. Service calls were very difficult to place even though we had purchased an extended warranty from GE. Ice sometime is made, other times no ice. Ice - if made can take up to 2 minutes to fill a tumbler. 1 cube at a time. Offered to accept from GE a countertop ice maker to solve the ice issue - oh no that was unacceptable. That division of GE does not work with the fridge group - Haier. Sad view of a huge shop and no integration. Shoulda called Culp when this started.

GE appliance are junk

GE appliance are cheaply built, they are now owned by Haier company and they use cheap parts, I bought the Cafe series and all four appliance had something stop working on them in 6 to 12 months and GE would not warranty the parts!!

Disappointed at best.

Very disappointed in the quality/workmanship of this unit. Replaced a Monogram built in fridge that also had cooling issues, but at least made it almost 20 years with repairs. This unit failed within the FIRST TWO MONTHS of operational service and getting service scheduled was difficult and dealing with CR was a complete joke. I normally refrain from writing bad reviews, and especially on a company I have been loyal to for all our product purchases for almost two decades, but the quality appears to be suffering all around now. Heed the other poor reviews on this product and purchase something else, I can confirm this fridge reviews poorly for a good enough reason.

Love the LED lights

Built In GE Profile is beautiful, however the motor is noisier than last model.

The Right Size for the RIght Price

It's fine. Nice size. Not sure how I feel about the # of shelves. The fridge it replaced had more so it's an adjustment. The ice cubes could be a bit bigger. Water could be colder. Otherwise, it's good. Keeps the food cold, and that's what truly matters.

I regret to say it was a bad experience purchasing a fridge from Wayfair. The merchandise was not delivered, and until now I did not receive the refund that I should have got it 2 weeks ago.

Noisy in the defrost cycle

We've had this for a little over a month. When it goes into the defrost cycle it makes an incredibly loud noise that sounds like there is something wrong with the fan. It seems to be coming from the ice maker area. The noise stops anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours later. As well, the ice cubes do not drop down straight into a glass and you have to hold the glass up to the dispenser if you don't want cubes on the floor. The refrigerator does not have a space for a butter dish!!!!

Good fridge!

A great fridge, works well and the link to the app is super helpful. We upgraded the water dispenser with an automatic pouring version from a higher model and now it's perfect.

Great refrigeration unit, looks fantastic and the price is great. my last GE Refrigerator lasted 16 years.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We purchased a brand new home from a builder and this product was installed in the kitchen. We have been living with it for almost 3 years now and our experience with it has been very challenging. Over time it started making noise at increasing levels, coming from a internal fan that is behind the freezer. The noise is unbearable, to the point where we could not be in the kitchen for long periods of time. While researching online forums I discovered that this is a common problem with this model due to faulty design -- so impossible to fix permanently. Indeed we suffered through various service appointments that changed the fan, the door gasket, and various other components but the problem keeps reappearing. It is now almost two years into our saga, and I am going crazy. So I finally found the courage to write this review to warn future customers: save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. You are gambling with your money, and chances are that you will get this noise with no real long term fix.

Poor Quality, Rapid Failure, Do Not Buy

Unit failed as soon as it was out of warranty (3.5 years). GE offered to sell me another one at half price, but local appliance people tell me they have had other units fail in similar ways. This is a totally unreasonable quality defect at this price point.
