[Rewarded Review] Excellent Induction Cooktop

We recently purchased the Bosch 500 series frameless induction cooktop and are beyond satisfied and thrilled for so many reasons. Coming from a gas cooktop that took forever for a pot of water to boil, the Bosch induction cooktop boils a full pot of water in minutes. It also has a speed boost option that will even boil the water faster. When you place your pot or pan on the burner and turn on the cooktop, it automatically selects that burner and all you have to do is select your desired heat number. Unlike our gas cooktop that was impossible to control the flame to get a simmer, the 500 series induction cooktop allows you to select the precise amount of heat you desire. Cleaning is a breeze! Simply just wipe the surface clean. No more heavy grates to lift off and clean. No more scrubbing in between the grooves. The Bosch induction cooktop is sleek, smooth and shiny. It looks like a flatscreen TV in your countertop! It's so innovative that the design for the burners are crisscross lines as opposed to circles. With our new frameless Bosch induction cooktop, cooking is a pleasure, accurate and most of all fast!

[Rewarded Review] Great Cooktop! And a little "larger" than most!

We've been really impressed by this cooktop! We had purchased another 36 inch cooktop earlier, but it was too small for our cut-out. Based on my research, I was that Bosch's ran about an inch bigger than some, and it fit PERFECTLY in our previous cutout. Saved me so much time, effort and money being able to drop it right in!

got this induction cooktop from Best Buys to replace the gas range we loved. Have been very pleased with it. Easy to moderate/maintain heat, super easy to clean. While it doesn't have some of the benefits of more technologically integrated cooktops, it works well for standard cooking. Much happier. Don't miss the gas at all & feel some satisfaction that our interior air quality may be better.

Have not installed or used this cooktop yet, the rating is based on the latest Consumer Reports ratings of induction cooktops which rated Bosch the best from a performance and reliability standpoint. Will update this review if possible after getting the cooktop installed on January 5, 2023.

Works great so far. Good easy delivery from Home Depot. Easy installation. I replaced an old KitchenAid Induction Cooktop with this Bosch cooktop and the Bosch cooktop seems to heat up a bit faster and the speed boost feature works very well. Very happy with this purchase so far.

We are learning to use our Induction Cooktop and we love it. a few days ago I made the best dinner, all my boys raved about it. Our youngest makes his egg every morning.

Once we purchased an induction cooktop, we never went back to gas. It boils water within 1 minute! We love the boost feature and it shuts off after a certain amount of time so it won't burn food.

Only 1 Flaw

I bought this unit a few years ago and overall it works as it should. There was an error code that topped up in the first few months, but Bosch resolved the issue and I cant ask for anything more. This unit looks great and is amazing to clean (if you have ever had gas or electric you would understand). The only issue is how dark the induction or "burner" spots are. I find it difficult to determin if the pan/pot is actually in the right location. It is a petty flaw, but one that has frustrated me since day 1.

Burners turn off on their own

I like a lot of things about this induction cooktop...the burner sizes, the power boost for quick boiling, the precise control of the heat of each burner while cooking. HOWEVER, the burners continually turn off on their own which is very annoying when you’re in the middle of cooking something and you return to see your food has stopped cooking and the pan has cooled down. I have nice All Clad stainless cookware and cast iron cookware, all recommended for induction cooking, and it still happens a lot so I don’t think it is because of my pans. This is the second induction cooktop I have owned, the first being a Kitchen-Aid. I like the Bosch better overall, but the burners turning off as frequently as they do is a deal-breaker for me and I would not buy this again or recommend to others. I have owned it for a little over a year.
