Heating is far too concentrated in the center of the elements. We use cast iron pans and let them come up to temperature for a several minutes before putting food in but ultimately it is difficult to use because the center is so hot and the edges are only warm. Food will burn in the middle of the pan but be frozen on the edges.

HATE IT!

Was so excited to switch over to induction and love my Zline commercial 48 gas range at our River House but this Zline Induction Cooktop is USELESS! I have to believe something is wrong with ours as it doesn't provide a constant level of heat but instead pulses making is IMPOSSIBLE to do anything other than a hard boil. Wife was in tears last night trying to cook chicken and dumplings and eventually dumped them in the sink and we ordered out. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO COOK ON THIS COOKTOP!

Was so excited to buy this cooktop but I couldn't be more disappointed with it. The induction element pusles heat, not a constant lower temperature. It makes anything other than a hard boil absolutely impossible. My Wife is in the kitchen nearly in tears ruining chicken and dumplings because it does nothing but burn everything. This must be defective as I see I am not the only person experiencing this problem. Please reach out to me Lowes and help me.

This item worked well. Looks sleek and fit in right away. One thing I wished for, I should have had Best Buy install the item, as the handy man costed me the same amount. Best Buy comes and installs on the same day.

Large burner is actually just a small burner

I really wanted an induction cooktop for the benefits to indoor air quality and the environment. But I'm so disappointed with what feels misleading in this particular cooktop. Basically all of the actual burners are the size of the smallest burner you see and there's just a color on the glass to make you think the burner is big. If I put my large cast iron on the large burner, even at high temperatures, the outer edges of the pan don't get hot at all. Boiling water works fine, but trying to cook something in a skillet where you want even heating? No chance. I can't fry multiple eggs at a time, because the large burner just doesn't heat the pan anywhere but the middle. And it can't be the pan because it's just a big solid cast iron. Zline's recommendation is to just preheat the pan longer but that doesn't help, the middle just gets crazy hot and burns things. I wish I'd saved my money to get something better, because I can't cook like I used to with this thing. Zline did not suggest our unit was broken either based on the description and images of what was wrong. It's just designed in a misleading way it seems.

We purchased the induction cooktop which was installed about three months ago. One of the elements quit working a few weeks ago. We called ZLINE and they said that the cooktop could not be repaired and they sent a new one as a replacement. The warranty does not cover installation of the new stove top and does not include disposal of the defective stovetop.

So far, so good after a week! It looks amazing and clean, just what we were looking for followng a grated gas cooktop. Very easy to clean, heats everything SO fast so a bit of an adjustment is needed to adapting cooking temps and times accordingly. Great price compared to the higher end brands.

Keeps breaking!

we are once again experiencing issues with our induction burner. We have had it replaced once already and had to have an electrician come out 3 times to replace it. We are again getting an error 6 message. The guide says that this should cool on its own but it has been 2 days and we are still getting the error message

Love it! Awesome cooktop

This cooktop is very simple to use and the overall design looks really nice. Easy to clean as well. The burners ignite quickly and burn clean and even. It is made with high quality materials and nice top. One cannot go wrong with a cooktop like this. Love it!

Love this cooktop - worth it!

The cooktop is worth the money. It does look nice. The installation instructions could be written a little bit more clearly, but the common sense helps a lot with the installation. It would be great if the gas knobs would light when in use to make it even a better look. It could be also a safety feature (i.e. if the gas is running and no flame it could alert the user about the issue).

Great cooktop with top quality burners

Purchased this item to replace a cooktop in a manufactured home. I was looking for something inexpensive, but hoping to also get good quality. I loved the stainless steel, giving my kitchen an upgraded look, since I have recently began replacing appliances. I like the burners. My handyman easily installed it. I havent used it too much yet, but I hope to get continued good results with it. Im happy with my purchase.

Modern and clean

I love this stove is soo modern and pretty. It works so good and cook so fast, no excuses now. I love cooking dinner every night. Its so perfect for my newly remodeled kitchen I also got matching oven to go with it . both item looks amazing. For the price its perfect. I cant complain. I already have recommended to everyone I know.

The cooktop is very easy to install. It is full of firepower. It cook very fast, and it is easy to use and safe. The cooktop is easy to clean after cooking.This design of the cooktop makes me feel very comfortable. I was very impressed with my new induction cooktop, I had no clue how awesome this type of cooking is! Easy breezy using this awesome technology and I will never go back to gas or electric. The safety features were a huge reason why I chose this cooktop, having cats and a toddler I feel very confident knowing it will lock, auto shutoff and it is pretty cool to the touch and wont cause any terrible burns when operated correctly.

Induction cooktop - we wouldn't buy this again

As you may have noticed, most of the reviews that are linked to the Zline Induction Cooktop are not actually for the induction cooktop. Here's one for the actual product. Five months ago we decided to take a risk and buy the 30" cooktop based on the quality reviews and reputation of other Zline products. We've been very disappointed. This product was not ready for rollout.

Skeptic at first

At first, I was skeptical about this induction cooktop's supposed easy-clean surface. I think the ad's a bit exaggerated. After all, it looks almost the same as my old equipment and, to be honest, that one had always given me a hard time after cooking a greasy or sticky dish. It turned out to be true, though, so I had no regrets buying one. I particularly like the automatic locking feature, which makes it safer than any burner.

I gave 5 stars for Home Depot. The product is very nice when I took it out of the box. I couldn’t install it because it has clips on the side that add another inch. It’s like 29 1/2 wide for opening and mine is 29 so it wouldn’t fit. Most cooktops are 28 1/2 opening. I should have taken out the old one before even ordering it. I installed all my other appliances just fine but this one a little different. I was bummed but Home Depot took it back with no questions. Thanks Home Depot.
