Nice looking and easy to install

I purchased this fan from HD about a year ago as part of a decor upgrade in our main living area. I installed it myself, which was relatively easy. The fan is very attractive. Only two minor issues to note: first, a slight hum develops every now and then, which can be addressed by snugging up the light fixture. Second, the lights bulbs provided are completely inadequate for lighting a large room; I had to purchase brighter bulbs. Overall, I am happy with this fan and would buy it again.

This looks beautiful, but it does not work. I went through all the steps. I called Hunter, and I am going to have to take it down for a third time to re-attempt the install with a wall switch control instead. This was very frustrating! Hunter was not able to help and I took a long time to install it, so if I cannot get it to work, it will be an expensive lesson.

Tried to troubleshoot a wobble at high speeds. The light kit uses a simple design to install but the design uses a spring loaded pin that is inaccessible once the light kit is installed. You either need to figure out how to completely disassemble the light kit or cut the main housing off the fan to get access to the internals. The pin in the photo is blocked by the fan blades.

Controller failed after 2.5 yrs

Beware, the receiver for this fan failed after about 30 months, apparently because a 2 ohm resistor just sheared off the board. (It has only a 1 year warranty on materials.) The receiver is a strange compact form factor, has all the motor capacitors onboard the receiver, and Hunter apparently does not sell replacement parts. Thus, the fan is now completely useless and headed for the junk heap, along with the money I spent on it.

Hunter Bennet Fan with 3 lights, 52 inch, Model 54189

I called the Lighting Originals store to inquire if they had two (2) of the Hunter Bennett fans with 3 lights, 52 inch (model 54189) in stock. I was told that if I ordered them online, one fan would come directly from the Lighting Originals store and the other would come from the Hunter Fan warehouse. I received the first fan directly from the Hunter Fan warehouse. It was immediately installed and it works perfectly (even on the highest speed there was no wobble). This fan states that it was manufactured in 2023.

Quiet fan, looks good. Installation was fairly easy. Beware if you have the older narrower fan boxes in your ceiling - the bracket will not line up with the screw holes in the box! Had to mount with wood screws into studs. Wiring was easy, just need to cut excess shorter.

This fanlight combo was for my picky daughter’s bedroom and she could not be more pleased. She can leave the light on and turn it off while in bed and thinks it is the best thing ever!

buy a Ceiling Fan with a Remote Wand

The remote wand to change the speed in th fan as well as the lights on or off. The problem with ceiling fans are the cheap switches, so the Remote Wand supersedes the constant changes and the cheap switches.

We LOVE this ceiling fan! We purchased it to replace a more expensive fan that just wasn't cooling room enough (14' x 17'). We decided to intentionally return to Hunter as a brand, because we'd had Hunter fans in our prior home and were always happy. It took some searching to find a look we liked, but it was worth it. This fan is beautiful! The globes are classic in structure but modern enough to feel "current". The color of the blades, a smokey gray, is lovely. As for the cooling aspects, it was a HUGE improvement over the Minka fan we replaced. We sleep much more comfortably with this fan.

We installed two of these in our new build home and they are incredible. They look like they originally came with the house. The light output isn't a ton, but that is to be expected with Edison type bulbs.

This new Bennett Ceiling Fan gives my new Bedroom just the classy whimsy touch it needed to bring my Modern Farmhouse Style together! The blades colors are just the right shades to blend with my wallceiling colors and existing furniture. Let us also remember that this is a Hunter Product and will provide the quite performance we all know ad appreciate!

Lights Dimming is Weird

I purchased three fans. Each one of them has a different method of diming the lights. One fan only has bright and 1/2 brightness. The other two provide full range dimming, but they work differently on the remote control. Orherwise, I would give the fans all stars. One other issue is the lights are really hard to mount to the fan.

Modern Elegance

Absolutely gorgeous fan- the perfect combination for a modern look without rustic vibes- clear, modern shaped globes, metal, and dark gray "wood" fan blades. I definitely understand why this is considered the "Designer Series" by Hunter- every detail was thought through, it even includes Edison bulbs to complete the modern look!

Good looking fan. Easy to install. Quiet. Light dimming feature doesn’t appear to work. Not worth taking it down and sending it back for that.

Love the look of the fan and the lights. However, the fan still wabbles slightly, even after having the electrician work on it. Before he adjusted it, it's wabble was very noticeable and annoying.
